ummm about this game. I   guess it depends if you have some     free time then maybe download but I  was kind of disappointed and here's why...

So let's just get the top things off of my head first. This game felt toooo long. Now that can be serval problems but in this case it was because I  thought I was playing a horror game rather then a fast food sim. Don't get me wrong you do get into the flow of things but sooner or later you'll ask "is this game still going". Several times I  forgot I was playing a horror game. But maybe this one is me and this game is suppose to be more sim then quick play through.   I also see that game length itself isn't  necessarily the problem it's just the pacing mixed in with the non scary atmosphere  with the 30min length that makes you feel this way.

Second grape ( I know it's gripe  but grape is funnier) This game isn't scary at all. I  know that can be subjective but this game seems as though it was created by person/people who don't really play/indulge in horror too often. The only scares are "jumpscares" if you can even call them that. Most of the time I  didn't know what was happening just suddenly heard a "scare sting" sound effect. There is no setup for the scares. Maybe you can argue the lights going out IS a  setup, but is turning lights off is a good setup for a scare in this case then my thumbnail for this video should receive an A+ (Sorry I'm just mad I couldn't come up with anything better for the thumbnail). If nothing else add some build up music. With this games length and pacing any and every time you kind of get the audience going like with some spooky dialogue or terrible jumpscare you lose us pretty quickly afterwards with long drawn out restaurant sim sections.

Now with those out of the way....

I  understand I  messed the orders up a few times which with lower the play time and link up the pacing a bit better but I  still feel like the scary atmosphere is so spaced out that this might not matter too much.

The cooking sim aspect of this game isn't actually half bad. I  would actually play a somewhat scare game that is more so focused on cooking with a dace of scary thrown in there (see what I  did there).

Now if you made it this far I  apologize to the dev but me personally I  would skip this one if you came for an indie horror game, but if you have 30mins to completely blow and you don't mind being dumb founded by an ending there give this here game a try.

If you click this game and have about 20mins on your hands I recommend just downloading it. It ain't to shnabby...

I didn't read any of the store page before hand so I went into this thing completely blind, which I'm glad I did. Here I am thinking a game titled the dog the very first thing that I would see is a dog when the game started but SPOILER ALERT that's not the case. I don't know if I'm just a weirdo that can talk to himself for hours or if this game is actually pretty compelling. I can at least say it doesn't drag on and has some pretty nice pacing. That sound at the beginning was pretty good as well I used it like 2 other times in the video as well as the sudden atmosphere switch and even the jumpscare all of this game played to itself very well. I don't have anything negative to say about this game. This is a nice little package in itself and like the starter line says if you are even here in the first place you might as well download this and have a little fun. Great good.

PS tell me if the scare gets you.

I know I'm late to the party but you have to play this game.

I try to do actually provide some feedback to the devs when I post in the comments to hopefully help in future development but I'm sorry I think this game is the first 5 star I'm going to give out thus far. I couldn't think of one down side to this game. I put the most effort not only to just the editing stuff but playing it just made me want to play more. Then coming back to the game store page to see all the possible endings (I'm assuming not all in Chapter 1) makings me want to just dive back in to find other possible endings.

There are no down sides, if you clicked this game and you are reading this comment then you should already have this game downloaded.

I will be checking out Project KAT

I don't really have socials smh. A twitter maybe but I don't use it. Maybe you can leave a comment on something when you're ready if you remeber little ol me. Other then that I could add you on discord.

that actually sounds pretty cool ngl. Also I have to say it I saw another commenter mention doing some voice work for you for free. I would be really interested as well, it's kind of a small dream of mine to do voices one day. Good luck on your next projects and lmk if there are any in particular you would like me to take a look at

Too much dialogue compared to scares/gameplay, but short so why not give it a try.

Ok so for a bit more detail. This game drew me in from the art and the space helmet filter, this leaves to some good atmosphere. This game even had a good starting idea that draws people in and can lend to a wide range of outcomes. This game makes you feel like you are on the moon from the low grav jumps to the space debris floating up from the ground ( I'm assuming this is what it is like on the moon XD). Even to the sprint back to the ship started very intense.

Now the biggest down side is the bloated expo dump at the start of the game. It is bad practice to dump a bunch a dialogue at the beginning of a game (without gameplay or anything to really keep the gamers attention) because as the gamer you aren't really invested in the game at first so the dialogue can come across as boring or drawn out if not paced well. Well this game is just walking, one interact, then more walking, so I see why you added this "story" to add some intrigue but I personally thinks it works against your game.

As I said in the starting sentence this game is pretty short so it doesn't hurt to give it a play and maybe you will get scared to by the jumpscare lol XD.

I play indie horror games and I actually try to give some actual feedback to hopefully help improve the dev aspect in some way (even if it's super tiny ;) ) I would appreciate it if you would check out my video. Sorry for the shill but closed mouths don't get fed. Thanks for the opportunity to play your game.

I don't really know about this one guys. I have to be honest.

I just going to get the big opinion statement out of the way this is really boring, I guess to keep their own so let me elaborate. I Read above that you guys focused more on the story this time and I guess it shows, as in from the beginning to about after gathering mushrooms for the first time I was kind of engaged (at this point it was still kind of boring but I was starting to get use to my pal Bob a bit). Even the little jumpscare at the scare of the gate was pretty ok as well, it got me a bit. After this point though is where it seems like the game lost its momentum and started to feel a bit half arsed. The dialogue was taken second stage to nothing but fetch quests which killed the pacing since nothing really happens during these. Even when you think something might happen nothing does (don't get me wrong I don't mean some big story beat but just some to break up the boringness of go here click this is the same order same spot. When you changed the location of the captured bunny that was a small but good start to help keep you players invested. Maybe put multiple color mushrooms but we have to make sure we get the right color or something. Basically this gameplay is overly bloated with non inventive fetch quests.

Now if the point of this game was to focus more on the story then that was ok until about the same point, we get get an explanation dump instead of any clues or any real build up. SPOILERS ALERT phayak has blood on his shirt maybe unrelated who knows, then dead deer could be connected with pha or this creature who knows, then bob just turns. No build up no lead up no real question. I guess you can say you never guessed your friend, but by that point in this game I wasn't thinking about any creature at all I was just thinking about fetching more mushrooms and checking my traps again.

Maybe if I understood what was more of the focus here it would be easy to give both positive and or negative reviews but as it stands I would have to say this game isn't really worth the time it takes to complete it.

Nice dances Tiger at the end though...
(1 edit)

Boy o Boy o Boy... Don't Read if you clicked on this game just go ahead and play it, it's worth now...

First great music and simple but effective open menu screen. It got me very excited to see what was to come so I would say a great score in setting up early atmosphere. Then great premise with a nice start to the setup. I mean the game is called opossum country and I mean you see them at the beginning but they just play as more of a background character to the main characters and their dialogues. You really brought the characters to life a bit, maybe that's because I'm from the south (just realized alot of this is going to sound like glazing but I do these long reviews on every game that I play recently so I have to give flowers where due). So eventually I put the opossum thing in the back of my mind because these characters are cool and this b storyline with saving this girl is more then interesting enough to want to sick around until the a line and b lines meet. You can kind of see it coming by the end but it still was a great journey.

(I know my thumbnail is a rip but in trying to thinking about what really represented this game without completely spoiling it, This was the greatest image).

Nothing really negative to say about this game (mainly because it's a game jam game so it's great in the vein and could even compete for great out of that vein). Great Job, thanks for the opportunity to check your game idea out it was pretty cool. I will be checking out more.

If you took the time to read all of this I would really appreciate if you check out my video I really like this indie game I even dabble in game creation a bit myself so I try to give "good" "in-depth" feedback for these projects... I hope it's working. Thanks again.

please put timestamp too so people could skip straight to the part that involves this game specifically.

I started reading this and I didn't want to spoil myself great feedback we need itch.io comments to look more like this

why do people do 3 games in one video? Is it because the games individually aren't long enough, maybe they are but you just like longer videos, no I think it's because that was the thing a few years back so people are just copying what they saw was successful. I wish we could stop with these and give each game and dev their spot light.

No offense to you I just do these reviews a lot and you see this a lot with little to no actually feedback other then "Oh this game was fun, can you guys go watch my video".

Good job with the video though

If you're reading this I played for 40mins and I quit... good... bad?

Like I said I only played for 40mins the page states about an hour of gameplay and that may be true orrrrrrr I'm stupid. I got to a point where you get a code and without spoiling I couldn't quite get the code to work.

Should you play this game?
Answer: if you click on this game then yea probably

There is something about this game that kept me playing and I can't quite tell you why. There isn't really much of an atmosphere, the ghaphics are kinda meh (which can be ok depending on the game), and the monster when you see it isn't really scary at all.... BUT WTF why did I jump like every time I got caught, I still can't tell you what kept me playing this game. You should try it and tell me what you thought.

Pretty good game dev good job usually I'd suggest stuff but I didn't finish the game and I found a small bug where a door was visibly opened but I still had to find a key to unlock it (13:30)

If you took the time to read all of this I would really appreciate if you check out my video. Sorry for the shill but "closed mouths don't get fed". Thanks Agian.

Honest comment only. This game is pretty mid at best. That's not to say that it is bad in anyway actually there is nothing "wrong" with it at all. Maybe the "problem" (problem is in quotes because this game doesn't really have a problem) it just kinda of feels visual novelie... like it starts with this black screen with some interesting conversation happening, to then just a guys body on your screen with a hole in it that you interact with. After that point you lost me until the start of the convo with the observer but even that got a bit long winded at the end.

All that to say this is a solid game just not very interesting or innovative. Maybe add more interactions like the body at the beginning. A cool atmosphere was setup with that opening then it kind of fell fast.
** (The teddy bear and the green bottle key doesn't count because you interact with them in your inventory).

Next why did I even leave a comment since I didn't really like it? I actually kind of did like it, but I go out of my way to play indie games and give honest reviews to hopefully influence good game creation moving forward.

Thank you for the opportunity to play your game, and good job to you for making it. If I could ask if you would check out my video if not that's fine but closed mouths don't get fed so I figure I would atleast ask.

I Would Recommend... but why. This is a short horror game about fishing... obviously ig but the interesting part atleast for me was the fishing mechanics themselves. I personally have never seen this mechanic before and I found myself several times kind of getting lost in just focusing on trying to catch whatever touched my line next. I actually would like to see more of this mechanic like as a side task in another one of you games. I will be checking out your other games. Great job on the game.

I would appreciate it if you dropped by my video. If not it's fine but "closed mouths don't get fed" and all that. So take care all.

np this is some good work. Thanks for stopping by my vid

If you are only reading this part of the comment download the game now I would highly recommend so now to why I would recommend. I started to download the game for the interesting art style and because I'm a big fan of roguelikes. I kind of thought it would be a bit cookie cutter, which I haven't to say no since I want to play it so bad again. This game reminds me of World of Horror gameplay wise just without the investigation stuff in that other game. Also this game leans pretty heavy on probability in not just the combat but just moving from location to location. This turned out to be a pretty good experience especially since alot of the games on this website are mid to bad putting it nicely so great job I can't wait to see more from you and I followed to make sure I don't miss anything.

As I said I really enjoyed myself playing this game and I think it shows in the vid so could you check it out, I would really appreciate that.

20min+ of gameplay in vid
Full Commentary

Would RECOMMEND

This was an interesting game. To be honest I found it because I saw Manlybadasshero on yt and I watched the first few secs and thought I would play myself and I'm really glad I did.

First great artstyle and great like game design in the sense of how things are spaces on the screen. That combined with the art made me want to always look all around the screen (which you guys made really good use of with the guy behind you scene). I could say more but just great art

Nice story and sound design. This was a really nice and short sit down that give way to multiple playthroughs, not only to get the multiple ends that this game seems to have but also because in this game there seems to be several ways you can have yourself at a "deadend".

Download this game...

Play this game...

That is all.

I hate to say it but this game is really boring. Nothing happens for like 15mins. There isn't really much to do, which is ok some times for a small game but this game is more like a 3 to 5 min play through without the driving from point to point. Maybe this game will have an update, maybe have some dialogue appear on the radio or something. It's not really a game per say maybe it can be classified as a visual novel.

I hope you add more to this because at the moment this game feels like a modern day bag of chips looks good on the outside but mostly air on the inside.

Honestly this game feels like a patience sim. Most of the time you are just waiting and or walking around for your clothes to wash/dry. I mean that is what happens at a laundry mat but still this game is pretty boring. It kind of makes up for it once the scares start but that's not until after you have washed and dried your clothes.

I also encountered a bug in my gameplay where my laundry basket droped as if I hit the drop button but I didn't do the basket just kept getting lower and lower on screen until I couldn't grab it or interact with anything anymore
5:47 in vid.

I would recommend.

To get straight to the point this game was very short and sweet. Mitch's voice acting was ok but you could tell that Edwin was reading a script (keep working on that Edwin you will get it). This game ran very smooth and even thought the game and the mechanics are very limited for what it is it is very good.

Great job tayoDEV keep it up.

HARDMODE

This game wasn't what I was expecting (in a good way). I thought this game was just going to be some iron lung clone but I was gladly surprised. This game has to be the best little short simple concept horror I've played in awhile. It kept me engaged the whole way through and after I ended my recording I found out that there is a hard mode that I will most def play. Good Job.

Finally beat it.

ngl this isnt my first time posting here but I've played this game a few times and I finally beat it. It gets a little sticky in the end but I'd say it was worth just from the ending gg.

For a test game made in a week this is pretty good. I'll definitely check out your other work after this one.

Pros:
- the game looks good

- I like that little interaction with you neighbor it makes games where you are the only person there feel a little less empty.

Cons:
- I'm not the biggest fan of the "camera is flashlight" concept and it makes it a bit annoying when you match that with doors that you have to click on the door knob to open

- The game took a little bit to get going which is ok in some cases because that time usually is spent building tension. It didn't really feel tense. I guess the news was suppose to help with that but no it's just some fluff things then power off.

- But the biggest con of this game is throwing all that food away :(

This game isn't really too bad but this concept is really weird and not appealing to everyone. I would still recommend it though good job.

This was a nice little game. I would recommend for a short sit and play. Nothing really stood out in this game which could be both good and bad depending on how you look at it. I would have to check out more by you. Thanks for being able to play your game.

Pros:
- Even though short it kept you engaged.

Cons:
- Raw meat as a snack.
- VCH Tape but has a modern tv lol.

I usually give a little more insight but there wasn't much here the scary got me though. I did enjoy my time with it though so good job.

Umm I think the problem was that I was using the num pad

After I enter the number nothing happens. I hit enter and e and f and also just tried waited but nothing happene

Umm im having troubles with the phone number either I cant see or I'm doing something wrong. 834711?

Just looked at some of your other games I actually played 9 child street and wrong floor. Both two very good I particularly like wrong floor this game is a really nice next step.

Honestly this is great finally a actually tense horror game. It's been awhile since a game left me lost for words while I was playing it. I didn't even finish it. I made me take my headphones off at the end. I try to give a pros and cons list when I comment back on games but you blow this one out of the park I will be back to finish it mark my words. Keep it up.

I usually try to leave like a list of pros and cons from a player (but also dev) pow to help with with the developing process in the future. I'm going to be honest this game was nice and sweet. And there wasn't anything that was bad about it. You did a great job and thanks for sharing it with us.

Pros:
- Nice atmosphere.
- A couple of unnerving moments
- There were things to do that kept me engaged.
- The length was ok for what it was.

Umm changes? (maybe):
- The beeping was so freaking annoying. It just happened way to often. I know they were suppose to be annoying but oh sheet that was the worse part.

- and I would like to have seen maybe one more jumpscare. The first one was good and very effective. So eventually I felt ok again and I was setup for one last one.

- ps. there might have been one at the end but I was facing a different direction.

All in all this was a nice little play and I will for sure recommend this game and Ill probably check out more from you.

I like to make a pros and cons list when I make a vid of a game by a developer on this site because I kinda make games too and feedback is really good.

This game was just so short there isn't much to say good or bad.

But I can say for what it was it don't lose my interest. So all I would say to this is good job could you extend it or use this concept and make a game that is a little longer.

This is good. gg

Sorry I played like a week ago so I forgot somethings...

Ok there was a big problem with this game (or maybe I'm stupid) but I want to talk about the good first.

Pros:
Atmosphere.
It had a nice atmosphere, music scene and such, that built up to the monster. With the atmosphere the way that it was it made you really interested to see when ad where the scares were.

Intro cut scene.
The intro cut scene also helped to set the world up a little. It added a bit of "pre-game" interest.

Cons:
Lack of Direction.
I found myself lost more often then not and one of the locations I just so happened to stumble upon. And at one of the locations there was a note of instructions that I couldn't quite do (which could have been on me).

No "Scares"
I'm not a biggest fan of jumpscares but I can't help but think this game could have benefited from one or two of them. The "scare factor" of this game was completely gone once you saw the monster the first time but there was still quite a bit of game left.

All in all it started pretty strong but dropped the ball early and left it there.

If there is more to it could you let me know I'll go back and check out whatever I missed. I've also played the smiling man and left feedback on that. I think I will check out more from you. Thank You for the game. Keep it up.

is it possible to get all anomalies?

wait... I think I've found something. lol

I'm playing the game right. Is there an actual code to the chest in the "in development" room?

thanks for the reply sadly I lost my save but I will play again

i actually need some help it seems like I may have soft locked myself if that is possible. It feels as though I've gone everywhere poosible but the last area which seems to be a mall with caution tape that requires fabric scissors to get through. Well I've searched all locations multiple times to try to figure out where to find them but no luck could I get a tip.

I haven't posted a youtube video but I've been streaming the whole process if that would help. https://www.twitch.tv/tyview

are you sure about that?
