ahhh, my bad then dude, I misunderstood where you were coming from with it, my apologies if I caused offense.

I guess part of the problem is that Killer7 would have to remake pretty much all the code in the game to accommodate a 'SFW' version and rework the android versions as well as the PC/Mac ones whilst simultaneously working on his other game, My New Memories. Looking at it, it looks like it might just be a bit too much (at the moment - who knows what will happen when My New Family is fully completed after the Epilogue update that is coming next) for one Dev to do.

But again, my apologies for my misunderstanding you.

the 'old' one, so to speak, is the first part of the game and the 'new' one is the second part of the game. The game was getting too large to be downloaded in 1 file so it was split to keep the file download size reasonable for all users.

So, for all intents an purposes, install the 0.14 apk and play through that til you reach the end, then install the 0.23 apk to complete the game :)

You're right about incest being against Itch rules, therefore the Dev, Killer7, can't post the link on this page so some nice friendly internet-dweller has made this one.

I'm not sure what to do with the patch on an android device I'm afraid, I'm a PC user. Sorry.

Not in v0.22. I think the births will come after the wedding(s) Killer7 has got lined up. As the MC is a bit of an old fashioned sort of a character (getting the rings from Grandma etc, doing things the old fashioned way) I would imagine that Killer7 wants to write the story in a traditional get married then have the kids sort of a scenario.

So fingers crossed it is coming soon, but to answer your original question - no births yet.

Thats better feedback & critique. Your first comment was basically saying to the Killer7 "Hey, your game isn't very good because of this". It gave no constructive opinion for them to take on board. Now you have clarified yourself and given reasons why you think it could be better, great! Thats good for the Dev to know and they can think about how they want to work it into THEIR game, if they decide to pick it up and go with it.

If I recall correctly, Itch.io and other sites clamped down on the incest thing not too long ago, which means this game was most likely in existence before the rule changes so to correct it in the way you would like, then Killer7 would most likely have had to stop working on any updates to the game and disappoint their subscribers by going back to the very beginning nuts and bolts of the code to rework every single scene to incorporate the changes. So, a kind soul on the internet took to making a patch to work around the issue.

As to my comment about educating yourself, I'm afraid that if you can't be bothered to scroll/page down 5 or 6 times and look for a link and an explanation then....you didn't want to educate yourself, I'm sorry that is coming across to you as rude but I can't dress it up any other way.

it is written that way to avoid getting the game removed from sites such as Itch.io and Patron as they have rules regarding Incest which would make this game against their rules. It's easily fixed, there is a patch available to restore the relationships to the correct terms.

There are literally hundreds of posts on this page explaining the issue, find the patch and maybe read a few other comments before calling the Dev out on it.

Hey man, me again.

Just want to say again, thank you for all your hard work. I'm no write myself but I can't imagine it's easy getting your vision down in renders, so I for one appreciate all that you are doing. I keep playing Serenity again and again because I really enjoy it.

As for worrying about whether you should continue your next project as a kinetic story or not, all I can say is it is your story and you should tell it exactly how you see best. I'm enjoying the kinetic aspect of Serenity, it's a nice change. Not everyone will like it, but then not everyone has the same tastes. Just hang in there and make your worlds as you see best.

Oh, and one last thing, I went and bought the Frank Herbert Dune books! Man I can't believe how good they are!

17th play-through and the part with Sarah at her apartment for the first time always gets me crying....I love it!

Killer7.....I'm a huge fan of My New Family so I was naturally excited to see how My New Memories began and I am almost ashamed to admit a little bit nervous if I would like it......

Well, those worries have vanished like the mist at dawn.

Dude, I just got to say you are an exceptional story teller. I've not even finished Chapter 1 yet but I am already desperate to see the next installment (even though I have no idea how Chapter 1 finishes first!). You can just tell from how it all begins that each character is going to be so much fun to discover who they are, what they are like, what is inside their heads.

Please don't doubt yourself, I genuinely wish I had the creativity and drive you do and I know you strive everyday to provide the best story world you can for us all.
