Thanks for your reply! I appreciate your honesty. No worries, missing a rule can happen to everyone! I will however have to ask you to replace your AI generated thumbnail with some original art or a screenshot, just so it is in line with rules. Thanks for understanding and thanks for joining in the jam!
Hi there! I didn't get the chance to play your game yet unfortunately, but I'm wondering something about your thumbnail art. Did you make that art yourself or was it AI generated? If it's AI generated, there is a rule against AI generated content in the jam. Excuse me if you made the art yourself and I'm falsely accusing you, but the style just seems very AI-ish. Please let me know, thanks.
I loved it! It was so sweet to have an army of little squirrels chasing me around and doing whatever I said. It was super fun gather them by collecting nuts and then using them to collect objects. The art was amazing and the animations solid too! The only thing I'd give as feedback is I wish the world was a little smaller and that there would be less objectives to collect, as you run quite slow and there is a lot to do! But other than that, I think this is a really cool game! Thanks so much for participating in the jam :)
I liked it! It was very bittersweet indeed, but still had that nice cozy fall vibes. I actually really liked the painting mechanic of the trees. One thing I'd improve is that I felt it went a bit slow, and maybe it'd have been good to 'complete' a tree automatically after 70/80% of it has been painted, so it's a bit less tedious? I was curious how you did the painting, is it done with a custom shader? It also wasn't clear to me that I had to press escape to get out of the painting screen, I thought that'd happen automatically after completing the tree. The other mechanics also felt smooth, like interacting with things. The bird song was very sweet. Overall very cool little concept and well executed! Thanks for joining the jam!
Ohh, a very interesting concept for sure! It took me a second to understand how it worked exactly, but when I got it it worked quite well. With a few exceptions, where it wouldn't always transfer nicely onto other stuff that was. Sometimes it was a little difficult to get small stuff in the background, as foreground stuff would easily cover it entirely, and that was the main difficulty I had with the game. In lvl 2 there were some small vines in the background, for example, and they were pretty hard to actually color in. But I like the idea a lot and the worlds seem nicely designed too! Very cozy fall vibes too :) Thanks for participating in the jam and congrats on making a game!
Cool concept, there is a LOT going on here and there seems to be a lot of depth to this game, with all the different gear and trading and such! I think for me, it was a little overwhelming to begin with. I think it would have made it a bit easier if everything that you couldn't use was grayed out, and then slowly things would be unlocked and explained! I did figure out how to grow tomatoes tho, which I was proud of :) But yes, a mini tutorial on how to use the gear would have been nice. But it's clear that a lot of love and time has gone into this and I hope that with some more tutorials it'll be a bit easier to play! Thanks for participating in the jam and good job on finishing a game!
WOW! That was such a cool experience! You caught me totally off guard with the simple art in the beginning. I was like "Oh cool it's a game about DLC, but surely this'll be the art for the whole game", but nope! I love that twist! Like others said, definitely a gamble to start off with a basic game and work towards something bigger but that's what I love about gamejam games. The whole concept was super well thought out and executed. It never overstayed it's welcome too, the new DLC popups were perfectly timed to not let you wait around more than needed. The whole game is super funny too. I laughed out loud multiple times. I really enjoyed the whole game overall, and don't really have any critique whatsoever, which means you all did a fantastic job! Thanks so much for participating in the jam :)
Congrats on making a game and thanks for participating in the jam! I liked the concept of having to switch your color leaf sucker to suck up different leaves. It was nice to have immediate feedback on your progress with the lvl bar. One thing that I'd like to see is a element of challenge in the further levels, like items that bounce around in the screen that you have to avoid.
Very cool concept and well executed as well! I was on a slow computer so it did lag quite a bit, but it was still semi playable. You always get me with your amazing grass physics. The dancer's (procedural?) animations were also very well done and added a very whimsical touch to the whole thing. I liked how simple this game it, yet how effective the concept is. Good job and thanks for participating!
A fun concept that I could see being refined into a very fun game! I liked the movement and I think that if you're going to keep working on this game, that that should be the focal point: fun jumpy stuff! In addition to that I'd love to see in-air steering, as I think it adds a lot to it. The level is a bit big right now, but if you were to condens it, add more trampolines and tricky jumps, maybe even some moving elements, I could see this being even more awesome! I did really like the cozy pumpkin and treehouse look, it reminded me of monkey island and such. Good job and thanks for participating!
I really liked this little cozy concept of a game! It's easy to understand and make something very pretty. I think it's a simple concept that's very well executed. The artstyle is cute and the little animations add a lot of life to the pumpkins. The only critique that I'd have is that it's a little hard to control. The controls for moving the camera could be simplified I feel like. Other than that, I'd love to see more decorations of course, but I already think you did a great job with a basic assortment for the jam. I'm curious as to how you did the pumpkin randomizations? I'd love to learn more about that. Thanks for participating in the jam and good job on finishing a game!
SO GOOD! This one gets 5's from me all around. It's a novel, very well executed, polished as can be, and doesn't overstay it's welcome. This is as good as a jam game can get, I loved it! The artstyle was very cute and coherent, the little animations were a nice touch that made everything feel very alive, the scrolling background is also a neat addition. The only critique that I have is that I didn't know you could open up drawers, which lead me to search for the last mimic for quite a while and I just ended up clicking on things. But that's a minor thing. I genuinely think that if you were to make this into more levels, with different themes, it would have a lot of potential as a full game. Good job and thank you for participating in the jam!
Cool little game! I had a bit of trouble getting into it as there was a steep learning curve and only a bit of text explaining it all before playing. I learned through playing the game though! I still don't quite know how everything works, but I had enough knowledge to get halfway to the pond. Then all of a sudden a very hard wave hit and I died! I kinda wish I knew how much damage each turret did, or what upgrade would have been worth it. Right now I just kind of clicked on things and hoped for the best, but I didn't quite know what a good strategy would be. I can't really comment on the balancing as maybe it's quite balanced if you know what you're doing. I loved the art and subtle sounds as well! The little animations, like when you're eaten, are very well done! Good job on finishing a game and thanks for participating in the jam!
I loved this little zine! This is the first jam entry that I was able to play as I am currently away from my computer, and I could read this on my phone. This little zine made me feel things! You did an incredible job describing, both visually as well as textually, what autumn feels like through your eyes. The illustrations are wonderful, as always, really professional stuff. I liked the tie-in with cozy games as well. I played all the games you mentioned (with the exception of lieve oma), which made me relate even more. More people should make zines for jams, they're great! I might make one, at one point.. Thanks for participating and wonderful work!
Super fun, funny and creative entry! I loved the humor and the surprisingly addictive gameplay beneath it all! I usually don't like management games because it feels like there's too much grinding, but I really liked that making money was actually really fast and easy in this game. The 2D character animations are a great idea and added to the charm. Being able to blow up my world when I won was also a fun surprise! Good job and thanks for participating in the jam!
I think, as is stated on the game page, that the game in it's current state is broken and cannot be played properly? However, I really liked the general vibe and aesthetics! The intro sequence is super cool and I hope you all continue working on this game as I can't wait to play the whole thing with a few updates! Thanks for participating in the jam!
What a beautiful little game! I really enjoyed the artstyle and vibe. There's so much polish here, it cannot be understated how impressive that is to achieve in just one weekend. One thing I encountered was that I bought a flower (costume) that didn't appear in my inventory :( And I didn't know whether I was able to put more than two pieces of furniture in my house? I can see a lot of potential here and I hope you continue working on this game! Thanks for participating!
I'm absolutely impressed by what you have managed to create in just one weekend! The artstyle is fanastic and there are lots of unique items in the game too! The environment looked wonderful. The gamplay is varied too, although I didn't quite realise that as I was playing. After finishing the game I only learned how many achievements (and tasks) there were to do. I was under the impression that my only goal was to water the plants. I think it would have really helped me to have the achievement list available during the gamplay. And personally I would have enjoyed ticking off that list without the looming deadline of a countdown timer, just for that extra cozyness. Overall Im super impressed! The cozy spring vibes are 100% present in this game. Thanks for participating and hope you enjoyed!
Immaculate vibe in this one! It starts out very cheerful, bright and hopeful, then turns slightly creepy and dark, both in terms of visuals and story. I feel like you managed to tell a story very effectively, well done! The car can be hard to control, but the whole POV style controls work well and the phone heads up display is genius and well executed. I love creative solutions like the 2D animations. Thanks for participating and hope you enjoyed!
Fun little game based on the idea of Plants vs zombies, but with the twist that your plants need to be watered. I felt like the sprinklers were a bit expensive and I was in a constant rush to defeat ufos, so I couldn't really save up for the sprinklers, but maybe there's a hidden strategy I don't know of. It also wasn't quite sure as to how the sprinklers worked and where they watered. I liked the concept of having plants defeat ufo's and having to maintain plants, so I'm sure with a bit more work this concept would make for a really solid game! Thanks for participating and hope you enjoyed :)
Loved the visual design of the plants (and rabbits)! I was a bit confused about when what happened, for example when I would find some new object or how flowers would cross-fertilize but was fun to create a small forest scene anyway. Performance got pretty laggy when I planted a lot of trees and flowers, and at some point my PC crashed. Not sure if this was caused by the game, but maybe good to look into. Unfortunately no screenshot of my creation because of this :( Impressive work in such a short time, thanks for participating!
I liked the main goal of the game, making a snowman. The puzzle element of the game felt nice and interesting. It took me a while to figure out that snowballs don't only need to be used for the snowman, but that they're also part of the puzzle. The superjump is a nice addition as well! The second level becomes quite hard and disorienting, maybe a map of the whole level might have helped there. Good job on the game, and thanks for participating!
Interesting game, fun graphics and animations. It might need a bit more polish on the gameplay side, I think there was a guard stuck in the middle of the level so I got caught instantly. It also wasn't completely clear whether it was possible to go beyond the fences? Or is the level just really small? Anyway, I liked the concpept of having to do tricks to become more poluar, I just wish there was more snowboarding. Hope you work on this some more after the jam! Thanks for participating!
Solid mechanics and a great visual style and general vibe! Really enjoyed playing this. There's a little bug where clicking once doesn't seem to throw a snowball, but clicking multiple times works, but that's okay! I really liked the dynamic between throwing snowballs and having to regenerate them. I think it works well, but this dynamic does scream for some kind of cover for me to duck behind while making new balls, so that I am not a sitting duck waiting to be hit by enemy snowballs. The difficulty was a bit steep imo, with enemies spawning quite quickly and in large numbers. I didn't have much time to build snowmen myself, but when I did it felt great. I thinkn that was a great addition to the game, especially the feature to build HUGE snowmen! I think this feature would benefit from implementing some sort of waves system into the game, where there is some sort of downtime between the waves. In this time you could build and upgrade some snowmen, much like in a tower defence game. I'm not sure if there's a way to regain health, but otherwise that'd be a good addition too. Maybe an enemy has a x percentage chance of dropping a candy cane which gives you health? But all in all, a really solid game and lovely artstyle and audio + music! Well done team!
I loved the main game mechanic! Interestingly, it's actually exactly the same puzzle/platforming mechanic as another game in the jam: Snow Puzzle. It had a lot off potential... but I just couldn't manage to get through the slope level! I know exactly what to do, and I get very close, but after trying dozens of times, I just can't make the jump! A real bummer because I would have loved to play more. I adore the artstyle and vibe you all created, and I think the slippery slidy physics can work really well when the level design implements it correctly. I think with a few patches this game will be even more awesome. Thanks for participating in the jam!
Hilarious! It was a lot of fun to roll around and see the floops running away terrified for this huge ball that is taking all their friends. Fun concept! I got stuck in the main menu because I completely went the wrong direction, but after reloading I noticed the arrow. The ball might be a bit hard to control and the floops are surprisingly nimble, but that did make it a challenge which was fun. Good job on making a game and thanks for participating in the jam!
