Thanks for making it in the first place :)

That would've been cool, but I'm still happy he made it into the game to drop falling obstacles on you, lol.

WOW this is polished for a jam game! Visuals and sounds are great, and items that aren't trustworthy is a great idea! Congrats on 1st place!

A typing game with pretty visuals. Can't say I've seen that before at a game jam!

Very impressed that you were able to basically turn a reaction time test into a fun game. Awesome job!

idk if this is just an Unreal issue or what, but my 1050ti laptop wasn't able to run it. The graphics do look pretty though.

The collision is wonky, but I love the Dr. Towle reference. The sprite work and lighting effects are also great.

I think the final level is accidentally teleporting the player to one of the earlier levels. The characters were my favorite part of the game. The style reminds me of Outage from a couple years ago.

Pretty much everything Ethan said. It's kinda unclear on what you're supposed to do, but the art is great and clown surgery is a hilarious interpretation of the theme!

The ALT + F4 secret room is pretty funny. The premise of the game is also neat.

The premise of the game is good, and the visuals are really well done. Definitely doesn't have the problem of having "the unity look" if you get what I mean. I think the two ways this game could be improved would be to have more guidance to the player (right now you just have to use trial and error to find the items in time), and to do something scary when the player dies instead of just having a game over screen. Awesome job, Brendan!

I hate to be that guy, but I think the difficulty should be increased. The survival mechanics are cool, but I was never actually worried I would lose the game. I think either forcing the player to worry about their survival or just making the levels themselves get increasingly harder would make the game better. The game is still great though, cause the gameplay is fun and you guys nailed the artstyle. It's very obvious you guys were passionate about the game, and it shows! :)

I think adding more scenarios and gameplay options would improve the game, as well as increasing the mouse sensitivity (I needed a third of my desk to do a 180). What's here is great though. Definitely my favorite interpretation of this theme!

Very brave to make a puzzle game in a game jam. I think the biggest issue currently is that the movement can't handle multi-axis input, which creates the sliding effect that gamershark was talking about. The visuals and audio are great, so you nailed that. Great job!

I'm not that into card games, but this game oozes charm. The glowing eyes are a nice touch. Did you use an engine, or was this made with a graphical framework?

The gameplay for this one was really good. I think this is the first time I've seen a co-op bullethell at a game jam! Great job!

Sorry about that, let me explain. We originally wanted it to be a puzzle racing game, but we screwed up at the last minute and decided to just turn it into a driving sim with boostpads. So the version you played is likely the crappy version that we had before we showcased the game.

The theme interpretation was awesome (finally a game that didn't just have an evil narrator!), and the level design was also good. I think that having restart code and finish game code would be the easiest changes to make, and I think the bigger issue with the game is that you can't always move while jumping (or at least you can't move on the X and Z axis at the same time). Overall though, I really like how you guys used the theme in a creative way.

Unfortunately it doesn't start for me either. The dreaded export checkbox strikes again! I'll definitely play it when it's fixed though.

Holy crap this game is great! I like how this game feels more fast paced than most plants vs zombies style games. Really the only suggestion I have is that I think the player structures/fighters should have different colors, mainly because it becomes difficult to distinguish generator structures from fighting structures once you have 20 of them all clumped together. Really impressive game, great job guys!

I was shocked at how much visual and audio juice there was in this game. Nothing seemed generic or boring, and the gameplay loop of just trying to survive was awesome. I don't remember the last time I saw drivable cars in a top down game, let alone in a jam game! You guys did a great job!

Thanks for the praise! The idea with the vampire was that you couldn't just circle strafe him like the other ones, you'd have to actually get out of his way before he charged you. I hope to see you at future jams as well! :)

Thanks so much for the feedback! What happened was we had two different branches for the game, and one of the branches had animations and one didn't. We had to cut the animations because those prefabs screwed up other people's work. Same thing with the player, we had a 3D model lined up but too much went wrong right at the end. We'll look into those two bugs, thanks for letting us know!

Thanks for the feedback! SipTap is the one responsible for the awesome intro. I don't know anything about Pitfall, but hopefully that's a compliment!

This game really makes you feel like your caffeine-deprived Dr. Towle. 10/10 on immersion!

You might want to add boundaries so that the player can't fall off the ship. I do really like that the fishing pole doubles as a shotgun. Really creative interpretation of the theme!

Hats off to whoever came up with the vertical hook. It's been a while since I played a platformer where I was never truly safe! Controller support would also be really nice since most platformers play better on them. Great work!

Cool to see that other teams associated the theme with pirates :)

0/10, not as frogtastic as Froggo 1

/s of course, lol. I will be upset if this game doesn't put in top 3.

I think having you aim manually would probably be better considering that the only way the player can currently show off skill is by moving away from enemies. Also, thank you to whoever added controller support. Great job!

2D GTA was not a bad idea! I think guns and grenades would be great additions to the game. Excellent job!

The powerups are fun to get, and the gameplay feels fluid. I do think adding controller support would be beneficial because twin-stick shooters feel more natural with them. Overall, very fun game!

The visuals are top-notch. I must say that as a college student, I feel a little called out by the theme of this game! Awesome job!

Really cool that your game jam game has a preferences menu and so many key shortcuts. Great job!

Level 5 is brutal, lol

Movement feels really good. I don't think I've ever seen a 3D web-slinging game like this at game jam before. Your art style is also on point. Outstanding game.

The story is easily the best part of the game. I think the gameplay would benefit a lot from having a couple more trials. Great job!

That's really good for a first game jam. Obviously the camera could use some work, but the art looks great, and the code works! Great job!
