Thanks for the feedback, i agree the timing windows do seem a bit strict. I like your idea of making it more lenient with a lower score instead of a miss. Currently the window for not getting a miss is - 144 ms, so I'll try out some other cutoffs

Hi, sorry about that! I posted a new download link with complete DLLs so I believe it should run now if you were still interested

Sorry about that, I posted a new download link with complete DLLs so I believe it should run now. I'll be glad to check out your game :)

Hi all, thanks for letting me know about the issue - I think this might be because I forgot to copy some DLL files >.<. If you see this you could try the download here. Sorry about that!

A Typing Rhythm minigame: https://vsie.itch.io/typecat

Nice fun game! My submission was a typing rhythm minigame: https://vsie.itch.io/typecat

While quite short, I think the setting had a lot of a potential to explore interesting gameplay. It had a cool theme with the graphics and music which went well together.

From a design perspective, one thing that could be improved is how enemies react when attacked - when I heard the 'clanking' noise I didn't think I was doing any damage, so maybe changing that sound and / or adding an animation or other indicator could help make this clearer.

Nice job on your first public game jam submission! :)

Fun game!

It definitely fits the theme well and had a nice atmosphere with the graphics / sound!

Nice cute little game - loved the art / atmosphere

Great, glad that helped!

Hi, thanks for letting me know about this,

I tried replacing the shortcut/link with a general batch file which runs the exe from the root directory so you can try redownloading and running that to see if it works. I tried it on another windows computer (Win. 10) and it seems to run okay there.

The second problem I think is also related to this - I suspect the runtime issue has something to do with the program not being able to locate the correct resources. Running the program from the root directory allows it to locate all the resources in 'res', which is partly the reason I created a shortcut/batch file (alternatively, you can try moving everything in "build\exectuables\" to the main directory, and running the exe from there). If the problem persists let me know and I'll try looking into it more.

Hope this helps!
