The risk/reward system of being too powerful for the village your defending is a really interesting one and it did make me play more carefully - I do think it could've been better balanced as I don't think I was ever in danger of losing faith (its a gamejam so who actually balances though). Parts of the map looked very good - particularly the fountain, although I think the lighting for much of it could've been improved. The combat was fun and precise and worked well. Congrats on the game!

Interesting idea well executed. The game did crash when I got to 100 after I had accidentally put a snake there, but I count that as a win

Good choice of theme!

This is an interesting idea well executed, I liked the atmosphere a lot. My preference would've been for a slower game, but the way it is makes for interesting and frantic puzzles. Congrats!

Sound like you might have been stuck in the questioning mode when you should be investigating the other cards more

Thanks for the feedback!
The basic idea of the game is to solve the murder case. You discover this case, as well as evidence and the suspects by investigating the cards. Unfortunately I didn't manage to give full feedback on which cards can be investigated etc, but the basic idea is if a card appears when it is investigated then you could investigate that card. There is no penalty for doing it wrong. This is done by pressing the investigate UI button and then pressing on a card.

On top of this you have to question the suspects about the evidence, but you can question other people about other things. For example, questioning the rookie about the suspects gives you additional information on each of them that you can question the suspects on and so on. Again there is no penalty for questioning people about things, and the only way to tell if they can be questioned about a thing in the jam build if it results in a card. This is done by pressing the question UI button and pressing from a person to another card.

Finally to complete the game you have to accuse suspects of a crime using the accuse UI mode. To do this you press from a person to a crime (the card will be named "Crime:...") and then to a piece of evidence. This may result in a card appearing, if the card is a statement card admitting guilt then you have solved that crime. You win when you investigate the card resulting from the statement admitting the murder.

I hope this helps. And thank you for playing the game!

Also, if you could try to quantify what you were trying to do and what you found difficult it would be much appreciated

Well done on the game. The soundtrack mixed with the background was very relaxing and the throwing mechanic was well implemented. I did notice that you could swap with a card even if it hadn't stuck to anything, I don't know if this was intentional.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience. Congrats!

Hi, thank you for your comment and for playing.

It is possible to finish this version of the game even without the unfortunately disappearing cards, but the solution design was quite rushed so may be difficult to find - if you're interested I recommend questioning the rookie about the suspects.

And thank you for pointing out the bug, it does really help.

Thanks for pointing that out!
