Thank you so much! The hitbox was definitely something that came up near the end of the development, we weren't sure how big to make it so it ended up how it is now. In the future it'd definitely be worth tuning the hitboxes of both the player and the enemies to make them a little more sensible and intuitive. Regardless, thanks!

No worries, and I totally get what you mean and I think that makes a lot of sense, it definitely puts a fair challenge in when you can't see where you're aiming. One thing I found when playing was that there wasn't much of an indication of what I'm supposed to be doing, you know? I figured it out in the end, but initially it took me a minute to properly understand what I was trying to hit. That's nothing big or anything, though, and I had fun playing!

Thanks, great to hear you like those aspects. The difficulty of the game has been a bit of a contentious point in development, and because the jam is only for three days we didn't get way too long to be able to balance it properly. Its current difficulty is certainly hard, and we were shooting for a substantial challenge, but I think it's more than likely it's too difficult right now rather than just a good challenge. Thanks for the feedback!

I like it, the graphics are nice and the gameplay feels pretty good as well. It does feel like there's little you can do to actually dodge the bullet, but the jump seems alright and the enemy doesn't shoot too often so it's not that bad at all. I do like this, though!

Pretty cool, although the rebounding is a little funky when hitting side-on, and it really does feel like I have next to no time to do anything. Even still, this is a cool beginning to a cool game!

I don't believe so, it just stops at the end of the intro. It doesn't seem to freeze, either, as Windows doesn't give me a popup saying it's not responding or anything. I think it might just be an issue with my computer as it did some weird things when launching other games in the jam, so I'll try launching it on a different computer when I next get the chance

I really love the art and the atmosphere of this game, it looks and feels really great. I agree with the idea that obstacles need a bit of distinction from the background, but I picked that up in my head pretty quickly and eventually got what I think to be a fairly large score, so I can't complain. I definitely had fun with this!

I really had fun in this, sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge to grab a gun when enemies decide to swarm the platform, but it was definitely fun and I loved the variety in guns.

The concept is definitely cool, but I've found myself unable to die even if I spam the bullet? Regardless, I agree with everyone that it's a little clunky, however I do think it's pretty fun.

Hey no worries, I had fun playing the game! I'm glad to hear you've got improvement of games in mind, this is definitely fun and I'm excited to see where it ends up in the future

This is a lot of fun, I have to say. It can feel a little unfair rather than more difficult as the level progresses and enemies spawn far apart, especially because the bullet can go off-screen (which is, as Robin said, a bit iffy to deal with), but I still had a great time with this!

Thank you so much, it's awesome to hear you like it! With the bullets, we did use Unity's particle system, but we passed the rotation of the enemy being killed to the particle system so it would rotate to emit particles behind them.

This is really really fun, and feels really good to play with all of its audio and visual effects giving oomph to things that happen. The graphics are really good too, though in gameplay terms sometimes it can be nigh impossible to pick up the bullet after you've shot it if enemies swarm in its direction. I also agree with JBroook that it's a little slow, perhaps those two issues can be fixed in tandem by tuning speed, or something of the sort. Regardless, this is really really good!

I like this a lot, the bullet system is really really cool, it's kind of both exactly and the opposite of one bullet in that you only get one bullet of each type before rotation. Regardless, I had a lot of fun playing this!

No worries, and that's alright if you're unable to play it. We've got the web version working again now, so if you want to give it another shot sometime that's completely up to you. This is about your game, though, and I don't want to draw attention away from it, so, again, I really am a fan of it!

I like this, good concept and good execution, definitely a challenge

It looks fantastic, I have to say. I love the shapes, the animations, the effects- all of it's an absolute treat. Gameplay feels a little iffy at times, but not enough to make me think badly of it. This is definitely really cool.

I like this. The graphic effects are pretty heavy, but I don't mind it too much. It can also be very tough to actually pick up the bullets considering the enemies don't give you much leeway in that regard. I do like this game, though.

This is loads of fun, I'll be honest. The bullets are a little fast at times considering the speed of the player, so it can feel a little unfair on those occasions, however putting that aside this is a really cool game.

I love the graphics the sound, the gameplay, this is just a fun and very entertaining game and I really love that. Zombies saying zombie is my new favourite thing.

I like the concept of this, although it did take me a minute to grasp exactly what the aim is. Other than that, though, this was pretty fun to play! It took me a little while to realize that sometimes you can jump the blocks by accident, so I agree with User8426 that a line prediction would be a really good addition. Regardless, I like it!

I like the idea, controls were a little unexplained, but I figured them out after a while. Aside from that, it's pretty good!

(1 edit)

This is pretty fun, I really like how one bullet is interpreted in this game. The only thing is that it feels pretty unfair at times, maybe the speed of the bullet can be increased a little so that it's always possible to hit enemies rather then there being some enemies that you cannot destroy without letting others hit? Regardless, I really like this!

This is a bit weird, I can't seem to get past the intro animation for the game? It gets to the end of it and then doesn't do anything, even if I wait for a little while.

I really really love this game, the visuals are fantastic, and everything is really polished. The enemies can feel a little unfair to get to at times, but aside from that very minor thing I'm a massive fan of this game!

Thank you so much! We're really glad you like the visuals of the game, they're a little... unique in comparison to other similar games, but hearing that they actually look good is awesome to hear. Clarity in controls is definitely a major thing for us to improve on, we'll definitely make that a top priority in the future. And that's great to hear that you're planning on coming back, the leaderboard is definitely a tight one, and I hope you get your name on there! Thanks again for playing!

Haha, oh of course, I personally haven't participated in a game jam as actively constructive as this one before, so feedback is definitely something I'm excited for, especially if development is continued afterwards. And yes, the last day is absolutely the day where you need a cry bucket, but afterwards it's a big breath of fresh air and anticipation for what comes next!

This is very cool, although more indication of what each bullet does would be nice. Bullets also always face forward which is a bit funky, but I know it's overly complicated to fix that, so it's not something I don't like. I do like this regardless, though!

Hey no worries, it was my pleasure! It's a shame how the lists always end up cut down for the deadline, but I reckon I'll be coming back here in the future to check out that next update, I'm looking forward to it! <3

I really like how the orb works in this, it feels really good to shoot and use like a laser and is a very cool interpretation of one bullet. Maybe some UI stuff and feedback when dealing damage would help, but aside from that I'm a huge fan of this game.

To be completely honest we have no idea, we just worked on it non-stop for three days and tried to spend as little time as possible on things that aren't core mechanics, I'm just as confused as you are lol

I really like this, the feedback from hitting enemies and the ball feels great to get, definitely playing this one again

Hey there, I'm guessing you were trying the web version. That one can take a fair while to start up, speaking from bad internet experience, so if you want to try it out it might be worth leaving the tab focused for a little.

I just saw your other comment about access being denied, can relate on that front. Unfortunately we can't really do much about that because it's an internet restriction thing that we don't have any control over, but the downloadable version would most likely work. On the leaderboard front, though, I'm unsure if it's blocked or not, that one's still up in the air.

I'm glad you like what you've seen, though, I hope it ends up working!

Hey thanks, that's really awesome to hear! Glad you liked it!
