Hey, glad you liked it enough to get to the second stage a couple of times. You can throw spears into the wall which act as platforms and allow you to jump higher.


The tutorial didn't really make the cut into this version of the game.

Yeah, I was worried phase 2 would be too easy and it seems I might have overdone it a little bit.

More feedback when taking damage or damaging the boss is definitely high up on the list of things to fix.
To be honest somewhere in the haze of crunch I kinda forgot I have to explain how we chose to interpret the themes. I will defer to your interpretation here as it seems quite reasonable.

Will definitely consider SMVM as an option.

Yeah, it is missing all the level leading up to it which should tutorialize the mechanics so you don't just get dropped into the deep end and told to try swimming. Player feedback when getting hit and doing damage are definitely high on the prio list of possible improvements.

Not quite sure what you mean about "a base for a totally new game set in a certain post-apocalyptic story" but It seems shadowy forces have convinced you to stay silent on the matter anyway.

Yes you can, it's one of the metroidvania abilities that unlocks new areas in the level outside the boss which we didn't present, the attack is indeed weaker but it has utility.

I know the bossfight really throws players in on the deep end, if me and my team end up continuing this for the super metroidvania month the level preceding him should tutorialize some of these things.

Hey, thanks for the in-depth feedback, it really helps.

In terms of tips and tricks I would say during the second phase it's good to always clear out the mines so as not  to let them stack up and as soon as he teleports into one of the corners to throw a spear in the opposite wall and head towards it.

Loved the theming, visuals and music.
From what I've played so far the most metroidvania-ish game and one of the most fun too.

Atmosphere was quite good, I especially liked the SFX.

It's cool to see someone going for soulslike combat but it was weird the big hammer felt like a downgrade from the wrench, maybe because it was thought out as more of an utility item.

it is also worth mentioning I managed to fall through the map by hitting the door towards the escape pod with my wrench.

While the puzzle element could use a bit more signposting I think the game delivered quite well on the "Cozy" theme and had an interesting vibe through its art.

Also, using the Windows XP error sound as a placeholder is highly entertaining.

Hey, glad you had fun. I know the tutorialization is quite bad as it's one of the things that fell by the wayside in the crunch before release.

Sorry to hear the lighting wall is a bit unintuitive to figure out, but if you get stuck on the boss like a spear in the wall you should jump for joy knowing there is a way past that attack.

If we have robot enemies in our game, is it okay to have them dismembered, decapitated, impaled and all that stuff?
Something along the lines of the children's cartoon Samurai Jack. No humans/organic life would be given this treatment.

Cool concept and aesthetic. One of the more fun games out there in this jam.

The game looks good but the difficulty is quite high.

Game was fun and silly. I am not sure why the man was naked but I will say using the Wilhelm scream made me laugh.

The premise is hilarious and the art really fits with the idea. Had me chuckling more than once.

The music was great and it felt really satisfying to cut down those cultists.

Cool game, I really like the game feel and music.
