Thanks for playing! Yeah we considered that as well. But we're not sure though if it fits with a few future changes we're planning to do.

Thanks for playing! And yes, it was made within the time limit of the jam. (To be precise, we actually did it in 5 days)

Yes, definitely! ;)

OK, seriously this is freakishly well-made for just a week. This game looks gorgeous and the gameplay is so much fun. Love the puzzles and mechanic used to solve them.

The pacing and introduction is really well done! You excellently introduce the clone mechanic and display to what it's capable through the design of the levels. It teaches you perfectly how to play the levels without telling you how to solve it, if that makes any sense.

The platforming is also really nice and snappy. The movement feels polished but sometimes I think i lose jump height.. sounds weird but I feel like sometimes I jump higher then other times and I did try if if it's connected to how long you press Space but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Regardless, this game is astounding to me. Great job, mate!

Graphically I really enjoyed this game. The gameplay itself is quiet simple but I had fun figuring out which objects I needed to interact with. I like the addition of a voice over as well.

I admit I was a little confused at the start, since I couldn't figure out which hint was connected to which object but I managed it through trial and error I suppose. And some point I started floating and waking up so I guess I reached the end of the game? I only got a white screen after that so I'm not entirely sure lol. Maybe I'm just a little stupid.

Anyhow, well done!

You're welcome! A game jam is essentially a chance to develop and refine our GameDev skills, so feedback to me is very important so we can learn from each other. So thank you again for participating and sharing! :)

Great stuff! The jumpscare gets me everytime since I am so focused on typing haha.  I like the sudden mood changes from an all cute, everything is good and nice feeling to an "ima 'bout to commit mass genocide here" feeling  (yes, it might be a slight exaggeration) .

A well made game. Good Job, mate!

I like this take on a tower defence kind of game. As I can see, you are aware of the bugs so I won't go into much detail on that.

The atmosphere was nice - felt a little chill because of the music at first. The art is pretty and the towers also look dope.

I am not quiet sure how to feel about the aspect of collecting the materials yourself, because usually you would have a full overview on what's happening and where the enemies are at all times. So this puts a little pressure on you as well as uncertainty on how well your defences do but it's a fun twist on the genre nevertheless.

A smaller thing I'd recommend is for the characters flashlight to work in all 4 directions. It feels limiting to me that I can only use it to see left and right.

But in general - this is a well made game minus the bugs of course. Great Job!

"The glider is fun and all but I wish there was a faster way of travelling without having to climb a mountain"

*Unlocks infinite jumps*

"That's what I'm talking about!"

I sincerely enjoyed this game. I never thought I would find a open-world type of game in this game jam but here we are. That is awesome since I love games where I can explore my surroundings. I also managed to fall of a cliff and lost myself in the forest, haha. Loved the aesthetics and overall style. The music also feels mysterious and dream-like so it fits really well here. The characters are cute and I like the addition of little quests.. sadly I didn't get anything for completing them. The addition of little upgrades for your character is also neat. The infinite jump is a bit silly but I like that nevertheless - just your average girl jumping and gliding through the air lol.

Small things tho, which I am sure you're already aware of are: You can't press A for some reason and you can fall of the map. (That is part of me exploring the area, yes hehe)

All in all - this is a great game, considering the amount of time and enjoyed this a lot! Great Job!

Thanks for playing! We're glad you enjoyed it. :)

"Don't let the happiness meter go down to zero."

Happiness goes to zero

"Guess I suck at following simple instructions lol."

Nah for real, it was a sweet little narrative game. Felt the emotions through the choice of your music for the game, although at the end it felt like i was watching a motivational speech video because of it haha. I also liked the little zoom of the camera whenever you would interact with something.

Hope your math test went well. Good Job on completing this game for the Jam!

I was intrigued by the story. Really interesting, and fun to figure out. Serves also a good lesson why you shouldn't drink before your next case. :)

Liked the whole vibe of the game, especially with that music. Fun entry, good job!

Solid entry to the Jam! I personally don't really play FPS games and tbh there are only a few ones I really enjoyed. Regardless, I think this one pretty good. A few hitboxes on some enemies were kinda weird and I was actually really confused when the houses in the main menu turned 2D all of a sudden but good stuff!

I like the visuals of the game. The pixelart is cute and in general I'd say this is a solid entry for the Jam. Good Job!

However, there are a few things I'd like to give feedback on.

As many others said already, checkpoints would be a great addition to the game since it is really punishing  without it.

The enemy speed and positioning could be improved on. The Teddy for example is way too fast, which also in turn leads to a bug where they disappear from their paroling place. It is also difficult avoiding them in smaller places since your own character isn't that fast. Yes, it does challenge the player and makes it more difficult but it makes being hit by them especially salty considering there are no checkpoints. It's cute tho how they turn into a plushy after you touched them.

To wrap it off, again, I like this entry. Well done!

Loved the aesthetic and the atmosphere! The music is soothing and the sound chosen fit well into the game.

The puzzles were simple but I agree with other people here, that the "unreal" boxes should be clearer to distinguish from the real ones.. like having no collusion for example. Adding to that tho, I liked the idea of having "unreal" puzzles which can be essentially skipped, but I would personally remove the possibility to genuinely solve them i.e. being able to open the door with the pressure plate. But I assume you had a reason for that decision.

Adding to the criticism of other people here regarding the instructions: Yes there most definitely needs to be a possibility, after you experienced the instructions of the narrator once, to skip it in the case of you dying. (And yes I did jump into the lava pit out of curiosity lol)

The visual presentation was simplistic, which works well here since you are in a testing facility. Gives me the feeling of being just a trapped guinea pig. One of the things here I really enjoyed is the way you presented new sections of the rooms or parts of it by just glitching out walls and stuff. Really liked the effect on these transitions as well.

My main drive for playing the game was my curiosity to how the story would end.. what would happen to me. Gameplay can most definitely be improved upon but all in all and considering the time in which this game was developed, I say this is a  solid entry. Well done!

Thank you! We appreciate you for trying our game.

We’re planning to further develop it too.

Thank you for your genuine feedback! I know my friend here already replied but I have to thank you myself as well. The reason being: I have seen your reply on the community post about ratings and feedback and I do 100% agree on that and what people have written in it. So again I thank you for playing our game!

Thanks for your feedback! We’re glad you liked the puzzle :)

Yeah, we did put a lot of effort into the polish… for whatever reason. xD Thanks for playing! And don’t worry many people actually got stuck.. we’re working on solutions

Thanks for playing! Yeah, we do actually plan on further developing the game. :)

Hey there! This is the link to our game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1420351

It’s a puzzle game featuring holograms. Might be a little confusing but we hope you’ll enjoy it anyways! :)

Thank you for your feedback!

thanks for your feedback! Yeah, it was more challenging to find the codes then we originally expected.

First of all thank you for your time and feedback, we really appreciate that! And yes, we understand that the whole mechanic can be really confusing at first…

The HMS Codes can be found within the logs and through hints in the puzzles.. now I don’t know how far you came but essentially the first few ones can be easily found within the Logs. Make sure to check your surrounding with the device equipped. Once you spotted a few holograms things should get more complicated as the codes are hidden in the environment. Look at the objects closely and also don’t forget to look at the symbols on the door in the second room as this will be your final code for this game :)

Hope that makes it a little easier… we do plan on further developing it a little more since many people did actually get stuck especially at the end since it’s not as obvious as we hoped it to be.

It's a really relaxing game. The colors are a little intense but all in all I liked the aesthetic and concept. My personal favorite was the beehive-like level.

We're glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing. :)

Well, if that is no coordination.. then our game is just pure chaos haha

Your Game was awesome! Played it just recently.. we are not really that experienced at GameDev yet so we'd really appreciate any Feedback and especially critique we can get: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1420351

It can be confusing and complicated at first but we do hope you still find it enjoyable! :)

I am still in shock how much a well coordinated team can achieve in such a short amount of time. I mean, it's my first game jam but damn everything about this is just satisfying and really fun to look at! Hats of to you!

I see.. yeah we slacked on the clarity of the key bindings.. WASD: Movement, TAB for the logs, ESC: Menu, upon getting the tool on the table and C to enter Codes... we'll work on that lo

Yeah same here.. It's our first Game Jam and we realised that too late as well.. here's a link to our game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1420351

It's a puzzle game, which makes use of holograms. Feel free to criticise it! It might be confusion at first..  I'll make sure to check yours as well but I am really tired since I spent the last 27 hours straight on our game lol

This is awesome! Looks simple, is yet challenging and a ton of fun! Love it!

Sounds good to me!

This is our submission to the Jam: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1420351

I can see there are a lot of Games here to play, so if you do have some time (and patience ;) ) please consider trying our game. It's a puzzle game which makes use of holograms.

That would be fun to see! If you like this is the link to our Game: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1420351.. it is a downloadable file so if that is fine with you we would appreciate your feedback on it!

I was really confused at the beginning since I couldn't see the borders on the left and right of the screen (even in fullscreen) but I did actually have fun running around putting stuff into squares to make new stuff as fast as possible. So in short: this is a fun little Game! Good Job! :)
