How does you game fit the theme?
The game takes place inside a simulation and also includes elements that act real, but are shown to be not later on.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code in the game, and followed a few tutorials. Most of the textures, music, and sound effects were pulled from other sites.

Loved your game! Graphics were amazing. Loved every bit of the game.

Only thing I have to give feedback on is to prevent the player from flying around on the cubes, the lava level kinda made it difficult. Other than that, everything else was great!

If you have the time, it would be awesome if you checked out my game out as well! If not, that's okay too! I would appreciate your feedback.

Enjoyed the mystery part of the game. I got surprised a lot. I liked it!

Awesome game :) I really like the visuals style the game has.  It's annoying to wait for the text to finish but everything else is awesome :)

(kinda sad that the secret ending is bugged)

Sadly this only runs on 16:9 monitors and I'm not able to play this on my older setup! :/

Loved the aesthetic and the atmosphere! The music is soothing and the sound chosen fit well into the game.

The puzzles were simple but I agree with other people here, that the "unreal" boxes should be clearer to distinguish from the real ones.. like having no collusion for example. Adding to that tho, I liked the idea of having "unreal" puzzles which can be essentially skipped, but I would personally remove the possibility to genuinely solve them i.e. being able to open the door with the pressure plate. But I assume you had a reason for that decision.

Adding to the criticism of other people here regarding the instructions: Yes there most definitely needs to be a possibility, after you experienced the instructions of the narrator once, to skip it in the case of you dying. (And yes I did jump into the lava pit out of curiosity lol)

The visual presentation was simplistic, which works well here since you are in a testing facility. Gives me the feeling of being just a trapped guinea pig. One of the things here I really enjoyed is the way you presented new sections of the rooms or parts of it by just glitching out walls and stuff. Really liked the effect on these transitions as well.

My main drive for playing the game was my curiosity to how the story would end.. what would happen to me. Gameplay can most definitely be improved upon but all in all and considering the time in which this game was developed, I say this is a  solid entry. Well done!

The game started as a really cool idea, but slowly turned into a trolling level in Mario maker.

The boxes being “not real” serves nothing but wasting time, searching between 20 boxes that all look the same is not fun in any form or way.

I am really mad because this idea would've been fantastic if it was crafted properly, the “unreal” stuff makes no sense in gameplay. Why would an “unreal” object have physics and collide with other things, then disappear if I hold it for 2 seconds? Why won't it have a special thing that you need to check? Like not colliding with the player, for example.

Not mentioning the 2 doors puzzle where after I found the real box and put it on the button, I fell off to the lava because I couldn't see the platform that I should land on.

I would've loved seeing the narrator be voice acted, although they aren't really helpful, in my opinion they tell me things that I could figure out myself, and they are just too boring and doesn't have any character.

Also, I hate going through their dialogue every time I die in a level.

The dialogue barriers were kind of annoying since they lock you from the very beginning of the puzzle, I understand why it's there, but I just didn't like it.

The level with lots of platforms is really hard because you can throw the box too far, and it will fall into the lava, forcing you to die… (not mentioning how hard it is to put the box on the button without it falling)

And one final thing, the puzzle where you take the box and put it on the button, and then it turns out to be fake, basically destroys the whole idea, why NOW the box stays in my hand for more than 2 seconds?

It just doesn't make sense…

Also in the last level i for some reason decided to walk backwards, and the screen turned black, I guess that's a bug?

Finally, I just want to clarify that I don't think the game is bad, I think the visuals and music are excellent, but the game design just ruined it for me.

realy cool game. love this like atmosphere! unfortunately its not possible to change screen resolution, so in my 4:3 screem i can't see all interface and subtitles. there is also not enough opportunity to skip dialogues after death

Fun game! Had a lot of fun and everything is very well done! I look forward to my relationship with the narrator. Only advice is to make it so the box doesn't hit the player

Love the game, I love the puzzle and level design. The only negatives I could give you is that the box yeets me around sometimes and the jump can die in a ditch. All in all, nice game!

this vibes with me just right; love me some good simulation. This won't influence my rating, but for future projects, please remember to limit your framerate, unreal, at default settings, likes to use 100% of all avialable GPU and on my powerful machine, that makes the room heat up a bunch while playing. its a common mistake, i didnt know about it either until yesterday.  You made the simplistic look work and the game seems really really well polished for a single person 7 day project. great job!! going back into the game now to get another ending >:3

Very nice game! Clean, moody, and challenging in some parts. Wish i didnt have to wait for the whole intro text after dropping in the lava in the beginning. But amazing work, this could actually sell on platforms such as Steam!

Moody and atmospheric, but sort of dry gameplay wise.

This is a fun little puzzle game. The visuals and the story is overall good.  I like the gameplay, but maybe you could have used not real a bit more in the gameplay. Overall is a well made and fun jam game. Well done.
