Hi SusBa, you do not seem rude. Apologies for the delayed response. In the first round, players draw 7 cards, which is described in the first round section. The reason more cards are drawn on the first round is because on subsequent rounds players are likely to already have one or more cards remaining in their hands from previous rounds. On the first round, you go through the typical peace phase-planning phase-war phase cycle of play.
The free demo only includes two of the playable "spellbooks" which are each associated with a card suit. The game itself does cost money, but the digital version is available for a fairly low price!
How far in did you read before coming to this conclusion? I'm sorry for your bad experience but am baffled by the hostility, especially because the game is very, very clear that you can play it with just the PDF, the printable rules sheet, and any two decks of regular Poker cards.
The deck that came with the kickstarter is not required to play the game. It is a custom deck of cards with art based on the game. Even the extra RP mode in the back can be played without the Wizard War deck, because all of the Tower cards are available on the printer version.
If you do actually want to play the game, I hope the process of taking that photo didn't damage it too badly.
Ahhh sorry. These issues have now been fixed but didn't make it into the jam submission! Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback.
The jet boots have a cooldown which is supposed to be visually communicated to the player by a bar, but as you can likely tell, the HUD/GUI was unfinished. We are looking forward to posting a much cleaner updated in the near future!
Hi Dan! Thank you so much for playing! As you can probably tell the game was not able to be fully finished by the submission deadline, but we have already made significant strides in completing it which has addressed a number of the items you outlined. However, some of your feedback is pointing out new opportunities and I will absolutely be incorporating it into the forthcoming update! I hope that you will consider giving the fixed version a go! Happy Holidays
This is a link to a zip of our game. We worked really hard! Hope you enjoy

I have gotten it on itch now. Is there somewhere more specific I can upload it to increase my chances of getting it submitted?
Hi, I made a game for the jam, I spent the last 10 minutes before submissions closed trying to submit it, but could not get it to work. I worked hard and really wanted to submit this game. Can anyone help me? Here is a link to the game on GX https://gx.games/games/1di91a/little-buddy/
Whenever the jam page is linked, or searched on Google, the description that appears shows that the jam ends on 10/31 which is incorrect and has confused at least 2 people that I have spoken to. I don't know who to tell about this so I am making this post in the hopes that it might be fixed, or maybe that we can get an extra week to work on our game 😅
I just happened to notice the last bullet point of the event description:
- If we need more time, I'll extend the deadline!
I previously misread the deadline such that I thought we'd have next week, too, and shared this date with my dev partner; with our work schedules, there's no way we'll have our Realm done by Friday night.
Is anyone else in this boat? If it's just us, I'll probably just make the page for the unfinished realm this week and add the files when they're ready, but I figured I'd open the question in case there are other people with a WIP that needs a bit more time.
