the actual working hours we spent on the project combined were less than 100 hours

Thank you for your kind and warm comment! It is very encouraging to get that kind of feedback!!

Respecting the community that spent time playing our game and wanting to continue the development we take into consideration your feedback regarding the checkpoints and will brainstorm around it, in order to find a cool mechanic to make it work and let the players enjoy the story as well. Thank you for mentioning it to discuss with the team. We are super excited to create a unique experience that people do love to play and care to leave constructive feedback!

If you may come back to play it during the game jam, I could also give you a small hint; there might be an alternative way to progress...! (heh) What could maybe trigger the story to advance? (the answer is within the theme...) If you find it, let us know in a discreet way to not spoil it for others!

Thank you again, your comment charges us with energy to continue the game to Chapter 2! Birbilitsa will be cuddled tomorrow in the office :))

hey,  seeing that you are interested in teams, here are some tips, a. try to find people who are passionate for what they have to do, mainly when there is a deadline, b. look within your close circle of people; friends, work, school environment (I'm a boomer hah), c. let everyone respect and trust everyone's opinions and give time in discussing ideas, implementations and designs! d. working from the same environment helps to speed the production and creates a great and magic atmosphere! I hope these help, I could share more if you are interested. I'm closing with a relevant quote from a professor "if you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go with a team". cheers!

thank you! we are really glad you enjoyed it ! :D

Thank you! we are really happy we could create a fun game for people to play! :))

next upadate will have a mode made just for you with x10 speed xD

we are so happy you enjoyed our game! thank you!!

thank you for your kind words! It means a lot to the team!

Awesome game! Word!

Fitting the theme perfectly and perfectly implemented.

Would definitely see it growing and making to the market! Finished all 10 lvls and I could say that by the last lvl you got me hooked. Would love more puzzles with three main characters.

Cheers

hahah

thanks for your kind words! yes it is intended to be hard, but it is definitely possible to finish!

hey super thanks! a narrator reading the text would be awesome, but if not set with the correct voice would ruin the experience. so we went without narration (or is there narration somewhere?... )

here's a quick tip on reading while playing, just smash the right-left or up-down, till you read the part you want in order to continue! yet there is another way, but we don't want to spoil the fun of finding out. :)

There is a mechanic for "!" without visual feedback though. It is a hidden mech to let the community understand its use.  The are more hidden mechanics within the game. (no checkpoint though)

Haha i liked your idea for the mechanic! but for us we went more in a goiwbf approach with no checkpoints.

WOW CONGRATS! you just made the whole team happy! you are the first one to comment that finished our game!  Now it's up you to decipher the ending, till Chapter 2 drop after the GameJam.

Thanks for spending time appreciating and finishing our game.  :)

(we removed your comment to not spoil anyone else)

ooh the creator of Mew in our thread!

Thanks for your feedback!  I understand your frustration, I am experiencing the same feeling some times haha. It is in within the impossible rage-quit genre though possible to finish it, either with quick reflex or ... !

thanks! it's super cool to read such a comment! did you see the end ? (please reply with no spoilers for others if you saw it!)

HAHAHAHAHAHAA EPIC.

woow thanks! that's incredible if we made you feel like a christopher nolan's movie !!  :D

thanks! you are the first one to mention the writing! yep it is difficult, but not impossible. more in the rage-quit genre, but if you manage to make it further writing will reward you!
cheers!

Here is also our almost impossible, but surely possible!

Here is our creative approach for the theme!

thanks!

Absolutely the most Funny game that I have played yet! I am waiting for a dlc that Mew can conquer planets, star systems and galaxies!! cheers

Great narrative approach! Big cheers for graphics and audio design, even as you mention you din't create all sfx yourself, you managed to create a unique atmosphere, which matters most!

You did well to go to the right in the beginning, as the game advances, you have to go through the words. The instructions are within the text itself, the first paragraphs. Some bonus instructions and mechanics are not displayed for the players to find out and enjoy the findings!

You are welcome! I liked your approach and I wanted to give you a constructive feedback 'cause you are on a great path!

Hey, super cool game! always a fan of arcade fighting! If I could recommend an added feature, for future development (not something to implement for a gamejam) is to exclude difficulties and introduce a Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment (DDA) system.
Cheers!
