So much potential I sense here, I love the main mechanic very much, never played a game like this before. I really had a good time. Thanks for making this!

An honest to god great game to play with the mates, can't wait to see if you add online multiplayer, might be a good game for VC in the discord!
I can see that a lot of care and attention to detail went into the making of this game, everything from the camera animations to sound design has been thought about extensively.

All in all, an amazing game while keeping in mind it was created for a game jam. Keep it up, proud of you!

Glad you liked it! yeah, I really did not compress sound files enough, hence the file sizes. I will optimize it/re-do it better for the next iteration. Thanks for the tips! Have a great one.

Very fun experience. I was making games on and off for about 6 years, since my teens, but impostor syndrome prevented me from finishing any game I started. A deadline really did wonders for me.  I learned a lot during my first jam. I even made some music which I found to be impossible before. And the most important thing, I learned a lot about myself and that I should doubt myself less.

I "accidentally" overwrote the partition where my project was. Oh well

Hi,

IGDB is a database run by twitch to keep information about published games, so that services may look up Games to display more information about them. Very neat-o in my opinion!

I wanted to add my game Sadlands on the IGDB, because I intend on continuing to develop the game further. The IGDB showed me an incomplete entry for the game from some user (not dropping names) who was hunting for karma, I would guess. It looks like maybe a scraper was used? But they misspelled the name, so I cannot say for sure (see pictures)

Get your games out there and take control of the metadata!

An oversight on my part, naively I thought the description of the game would be enough to point to it. Did not have time to implement it, I will remember that for the next Jam! Thanks!

I am actually glad to hear that believe it or not, a very stressful moment for you, a successful one for me. I made it difficult enough. Were you equipped in the shop? Hearty meal restores a heart.

Definitely run every game through virustotal or rquivalent, even the pdfs, found some concerning projects. Stay clear of exes, there are enough web games. Sad reality...

Great game, I had an absolute hoot. The soundtrack made me very sad though, that guitar has some soul behind it. I gotta find that OST again, very nice!

Everything is made from scratch, was not that hard. It is low quality, I know that and the mechanics have to be polished a lot. Thanks for playing, means a lot, honestly!

Fixed it, sorry for the wrongly formulated sentence. :)

I must admit it is tricky, I tried my best to balance it. Make sure to use the shop items!

Have you gotten to the boss fight? Thanks for the great feedback!

About 10 minutes or so

Enough to become the god amongst frogs. You are welcome kind person!

There is no username field, something is going wrong. What system are you on?

Have you tried pressing the add image button above the comment field? For some reason you can't just paste pics lol, at least for me.

I HAVE BECOME FROG

Great game, I could be what my mom told me not to be, a pizza-eating radioactive sewage-drinkin, anker between my toes sticking stinking frog. And I have become the biggest of them.
Thank you

Hmm. that is very curious, I have tested on both Firefox and 2 seperate chrome based browsers. It may take some time to load. I forgot to compress my music thinking the engine would do it. What do you see when you load the game? (you can put pictures in here as well).

So far Sadness and Joy takes the cake for me. Solo dev with a passion for their craft.

Thank you so much for the nice comment! I love your game too. I tried to balance it as best I could, both the time and the answer pairs. It is pretty difficult to make answers not repeat or ambiguous to confuse the player  I was thinking of using AI to generate it on the spot but that is against the rules and I wanted it to have more of a personal touch. Thanks again. I am sure you will do very well in this Jam. ✌️😊

Our themes are so similar, down to the colors of the protagonists and even how you deal with the big fella :D Great game I love the muppets. Good luck!

I have seen the "God" in "Godot"

Very fun game, had a blast. Works fine on Firefox browser.

also the shooting sound effect onlöy comes out of my left headphone channel, for some reason (on chrome too)

I am getting a slideshow fps on firefox, on chrome it is fine

I am using firefox, by the way

Oh I just realized, you screenshots have the ground texture, but my player does not show it.

good luck

Fun game, glad you submitted! :) I would suggest putting down a ground texture, so you can orient yourself more easily and gauge the general speed of the character and monsters.

Also, I think there is a bug where the bullet hits the slime and the death animation plays, but the slime doesn't die. You'll figure it out.

Good luck!

Oh boy just thought of it, imagine this being multiplayer and fighting other people :O Ok, I'll stop fanboying now... Good luck

Very interesting mechanics, I would like to buy the game no matter the outcome of the jam... Definitely has potential :)

Them reflections though... d*____._____*b

Weird, because I tried using unity once and it was a mess, mainly because of C#, gdscript is very much python-like and I felt like home. Give it a try, there is nothing to lose.  And making a game in 4 days is a massive bragging right.

The world has a lot of bad apples, stay vigilant. This community seems nice and I would not suspect anyone ther, but there are people who just go into game jams to post malware.

Alright, if you feel confident about security on chrome. I would still privacy plug-in the hell out of it, NoScript, privacy badger, ublock, etc. STay safe

No, you are not weird, but keep in mind that even browser games can hit you pretty good, I would suggest using an old laptop to try out these games, in-browser or otherwise, and preferably on Linux as well

I switched directions, very much so. I hope someone else gets an answer though :D
