like the itch.io app on desktop I would like to be able to direct download games there's this one game on here that only can be downloaded via the desktop app and it's super annoying

Can you give me a link to the game? I haven’t seen kind of thing before, unless it’s an HTML5 game.

I think it's a html5 game but you can install it on desktop app and get the zip file from there https://teamzorro.itch.io/sbarpg

As I don't have a computer that works anymore this is a annoying problem I can't get around anymore

This looks like a web-based game made in HTML5. The desktop app supports downloading them as .zip archives but there’s unfortunately there’s no way for Mitch to access that.

Theres no alternative way to download it? It's just a zip file.

Maybe ask the developers directly for the zipfile, explaining your case ?
