Version 0.6.22b: the name inputs advance the dialogue when you press enter to choose a character's name. 

The dialogue tends to skip ahead, as if one click of the mouse is worth two clicks.

And the auto-saves at an act's end is not able to be modified, nor deleted.

Thanks for the feedback. The one-click leading to 2 click is a weird one; not quite sure what could prompt that. 
Name input sounds an easy bug to fix; will get on that.
Auto-saves were by design; lots of people manage to delete them, after which they complain that they lost them :)

V1.0.1: after act 3, sometimes in a battle, attack effects don't always seem to work on opponents. Though any shield, rage, or other effects that target the MC, still work.

On day 90, if you have a black rose, the black rose tends to appear in front of Emily during the respites in the bedroom.

Make sure you get 1.0.7; I fixed a bunch of little issues with it.

Mystery location does nothing when you go there. it says to bring your chose but when you put them in it dissapears when your alone it is visible but doesnt funtion. quest that the dragon head asks of you.

They're two different world-quests.  One (The Mermaid) only shows up if you're alone, the other (A Small Favor) only shows up with all three chosen in your team.

In linux version of 1.1.9 of book 1: on day five, after the fight with the hellhound and Torman leaves, the conversation with Dylan cannot be continued. And since the location button is not available it is not possible to leave or forward time.

Yeah, I saw it. He was missing his hitbox. I'm uploading a fix for that (and the corrupted OSX archieve) now.

Okay, version 1.1.9b is up, which fixes that (and a few other small typos / image issues).

book 2 has DISAPPEARED from steam!

When playing, there is no longer an option for book  2. It can be put on the wish list, but not downloaded or purchased.

When searching for the game, it is listed as COMING SOON.

Short answer is that it's still there; I'm trying to put the 'launch book 2' to be only on the beta path, but something weird is going on with the launcher.

If you go to E:\steam\steamapps\common\Love of Magic\Book2 (for whichever folder is your root steam installation), it'll still be there. BUt I need to sort out how to get the launcher to work for Beta (and only beta) players.

Goof on Mana pool: As described, 3 by 6 miles, three times 100 yards deep. (300 yards) (4.8 by 9.6 KM, 300M deep) is 3 TRILLION gallons, 1,000 times bigger than 3 Billion gallons. There is two easy fixes:

1. Everywhere it is mentioned, change billion to trillion

2. Change the lake size: 1,000 feet wide (1/5 of a mile, 304M) 2,000 feet long  100 yards deep. (3 times 100 feet) That is still a 40 acre lake, (16 hectares)

Now something I always wondered makes sense, the fact that Billion is local usage. Metric and scientific use tera for 10^12 and Giga, for 10^9, as in microwave giga-hertz or computer giga-byte.

BTW, a UK gallon is bigger than a US gallon, so 3 tera gallons US is 11.35 tera liters. 3 tera gallons UK is 13.64 tera liters.

If you want, you can start to refer to it as a 12 tera liter, or 12,000 giga liter mana pool starting at act X

Fun fact: 3 tera-gallons is enough to supply an 8 million population city such as London or New York City with 100 gallons of water per person for 10 years.  (((edit: 100 gallons per person per day)))

In the US, large quantities of water are refereed to as acre-feet by farmers, enough water to cover 1 acre 1 foot deep, or 326,700 gallons US, 272,250 gallons UK, which makes the entire mana pool 10 million acre feet, or 1.25 million  hectare meters if you prefer metric.

On the Dresden path, there will be Katie's perspective in the morning, then the MC in the evening, skipping the morning for the MC. I am thinking that it should be katies perspective in the morning, than switch to the MC, also in the morning.

Day 168 is ok, but days 169 & 176, have the bug. 

I am not counting days that are Katie's perspective but the MC joins in like the funeral, and have not checked the outsider path. (yet)

EDIT:  Finished Texas path, days 172, 175 & 178 also have the bug.

After running through act X twice, once on dresdan path, once on texas, I don't have end of act X save game. I do have end of act IX and day 181 evening, but no end of act X

Book 2 zip archives all (Win64, Mac, & Linux) seem to have errors when I go to open them.

That's not good. What's the error?

I had to switch to a new system, because I'm above the 4GB limit Itch.io has on uploads, so it's possible there's a process issue. I'll get it fixed as soon as I can diagnose it. 

It shows up as a Header Error in the zip archive.

Weird; I just downloaded it on my side (win64), and it unzipped cleanly. 
Are we talking about love-of-magic-book2_win64.zip or love_of_magic_book2_0_6_17c_win64.zip? What unzip package are you using?

Love-of-Magic-Book-2_win64. I'm not sure what is happening it may be due to a network problem on my side.

It was an outdated zip utility app on my side. There is nothing wrong with the archives, and they work fine on my system.

Not sure if it is a bug, but downloaded book 2 on steam and Mathew is not available to train sword at night unless you trained sword in the evening.

Not really a bug (except he should probably disappear after training you). It's because he's just supposed to show up during morning/evening, not night. 

How do I become a beta tester? the end of book 2 says I can do it through the steam development path, but can't find it in steam. 

I don't have to go through steam, can go through itcho or another rout if it is preferred.

So the Beta testing path is only for Steam builds. There are 3 branches of the game:
- Default (Just book 2)

- Beta (will have completed Acts of Book 3 as I finish them, nothing yet)

- Development (advances as I make the game, but obviously not cleanly wrapped up).

The itch.io steam key is right now only for Book 1 (which has Book 2 on the beta branch)... I'll need to go ask Valve for more keys to do key give-aways for book 2 as well.

Just started playing book 3. Dylan has the refresh companion options, IMO since he has not met Xochie he shouldn't.

Yeah, I agree. There definitely will be more little things like that where cleaning out the sandbox didn't get everything.

Both Builds 1 & 2, Ingredients & special ingredients are both missing from the stats dropdown box.

The game is not collecting them. I have gotten some of both on the paths but there is no option for Chloe to buy them

Yeah, there will be no ingredients in Book 3. I'm spending more time expanding the Kingdom Events instead; I do however need to make sure they're removed from the Elsewhere events.

Hello Droid,

I am currently playing Book II (I have downloaded it in March this year) and there is a bug : when i click on an autosave at the end of an act, I cannot continue. Nothing happens when I click on the character on screen. I have currently played the two first acts, so I actually don't know if it is present for all of them. It is not a big problem for me (I just make sure to save once the next act has already started), but still I thought it is something that you probably wanted to know. I have checked and Book I (version 1.07b, from early 2021) doesn't have this bug.

I would like to take this opportunity to say the game is absolutely awesome, I enjoy it very much, thank you !

You can find the saves here. Best solution is to just zip up the entire folder and attach it to something like gofiles or mega
