Can TTRPGs be refunded?

Hi. A friend of mine bought me Lancer's core rulebook without asking me about it beforehand, and I'd rather have it refunded to him. The thing is, I read a couple of topics here as well as the refund policy, and they've lead me to question whether TTRPGs can be refunded or not. From what I understand, refunds are only accepted if the product description was misleading or it didn't work properly, and because the site supports downloading from its browser, the staff can't actually see if there's been a download at all.

It's that last point in particular that makes me ask my question. I can swear that I didn't download the game (which is the case, but that's besides the point), but I understand that if nobody can prove it, then it can't be refunded. So, can the staff see whether a game has been downloaded or not? And by extension, can TTRPGs be refunded?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Edit: I just realized that it might be useful to say that my friend already asked for a refund, but since it's still currently being processed I was wondering whether it could be refunded or not.

Generally speaking, we will try to make everyone happy about their purchase, and we’re flexible with the refund policy. Only if we notice suspicious activity do we start to get very specific about the rules. If they’ve made a reasonable request in their email they sent to us then we’ll likely refund it. If that’s not the case you can reply to me again and I can personally take a look.

Thanks
