Butler 403 Error When Trying To Login

Hi, I am new at using Butler. I'm trying to use with reading this document. https://itch.io/docs/butler/login.html

And I'm trying to login. But I'm getting this error:

validating credentials: itch.io API error (403): /wharf/status: invalid key

How can I solve ? Thanks.

I deleted my API key, created new one, I deleted and created new again and again. But I could't solve this, still getting that error.

https://itch.io/t/222775/it-gives-me-this-error-creating-build-on-remote-server-...

In that question, there is a message:

"I already fixed this, it's where butler stores the API Key, the old one was still in there"

If  I change my API key on butler, maybe it can work. But I dont know how to do it.  How can I change ?

I am having the same issue. New install of Windows and now Butler gives me an error for the API key. Deleting the Key changes nothing.

The place where butler stores the key depends on what platform you’re on, from https://itch.io/docs/butler/login.html:

You can find your API key locally:

  • Linux: ~/.config/itch/butler_creds
  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/itch/butler_creds
  • Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.config\itch\butler_creds

Thanks so much! That solved it for me. Grateful.
