"wasm installation failed! CompileError: WebAssembly.instantiate(): Wasm code generation disallowed by embedder"

What do I do to fix this? The game in question uses Ren'Py.

EDIT: Weirdly, after posting this question on three other boards as well, the game finally launched properly.  So never mind, though it would be nice to know if this is something that will always happen.

I don't understand what that has to do with Itch.

This is a javascript security error, it can be caused by a number of things, it could be related to the settings on your browser, extensions you’ve installed, whether you’re using private borwsing, the code of the game uploaded, among other things. Without any more information it’s hard to identify what the cause is.
