Ever want to know what bumping is?

This is a must-add feature to itch.io. Bumping, by definition, throwing a game at the top of a list to give it more exposure across the site. Users are limited to bumping a certain number of times in a single day (four preferred).

If a small developer wants a lot of exposure to their game, they will have to bump their game once every window. To compete for the top rank, bumps should be made as early as possible. When bump points match, the top spot goes to the fasted bumper.

We will likely never do anything like this. It encourages people with time to spare to spam their game, and has no correlation with how much someone might enjoy the game.

We recommend that if you are making meaningful updates to your game then you use our devlogs feature, and this can help your game organically show up higher on our search and browse pages.

Hope that helps
