Is this software or tool for pixel art only ? How about I just want to use vector style based art like kingdom rush characters and etc ?

What is your needs ? To be able to animate your vector characters ?

It's really pixel art oriented tool but could be used for digital art too, I'm just a little bit afraid with performances. 

For vector the software converts automatically to bitmap during import.

The best way for you, if you have time, should be to try with the demo to see if it fits your needs.
