Can someone please explain how the passage of time works in this game? How long does it take to get more taxes, etc. and what causes time to pass?
Income like taxes or from mines are added every X minutes of playtime. It's a counter running in the background, and is not affected by anything you do in the world. For example, sleeping does not accelerate the tax income.
