Hey guys it would be awesome if we could set a custom domain of our choosing to CNAME to the itch.io subdomain and have it be the link we give to people.

Also it would be slick if we could customize the profile page look a big more. Kind of like gamejolt does where it have A LOT of freedom to make it look like you want. I prefer itch.io so far but those feature would make itch.io so much more useful for developers I feel. At least when building a brand on top of the game itself.

Custom domains is hard for us to implement from a security perspective. We require all pages to use HTTPS so we would have to set up a system to get certificates for all the domains that point to us. Although it's possible, it's complicated. On top of that we need to set up a system that allows us to share sessions across domains (so you would still be logged in). Due to the complexity, I'm not sure when we would add something like that, but I do think it would be valuable for many people.

As for more templates for the user pages, that's definitely something we'd like to have. If you have any examples of people's pages that you like feel free to link them here so we can check them out.
