Windows 11, clicking the exe seemingly does nothing. Searched around but haven't found anyone having this issue. The developer only lists the game as being a steam game on PC, so the support there doesn't apply. I've tried running through steam but adding the exe and clicking "play" there returns the same issue.
The most common mistake people make when trying to run a game they’ve downloaded off the internet on Windows is trying to run the executable directly inside of the zip file without extracting it to a new folder first.
In order for the game to find access all of its resources you must extract the the entire zip file to a new folder before you try to run the game.

I Installed the x64 and x86 .net runtimes from here, console and desktop. Still nothing.

I am having the same issue. Purchased Towerfall Ascension with the Bundle for Ukraine and after installing it, the game will not launch. I click launch but nothing happens. If I go and open the TowerFall.exe file, same thing happens. Can't figure out what's going on. Other games from the bundle have worked fine so far.
Edit: I happened to have the game on Steam and compared the two folders. I noticed that there were quite a few files missing from the Bundle that were present in the Steam folder. I copied the missing files over and now it's suddenly working.
