Support for FPV goggles and/or VR headsets

Are there any plans to develop the application to support FPV goggles and/or VR headsets?

I'm a drone enthusiast and amateur developer looking for similar drone simulators.

I'd be happy to help with development for these platforms.

If you have goggles with some kind of hdmi/video input you might be able to use them as it is right now.

Here's what one user has to say:

"I have Dominator V2's - they come with hdmi in and video in ports (I think most brands of the goggles will be the same). Average to gamer PC's have two video outs on them so the goggles become a second monitor. With my setup I had difficulty using the hdmi port on the goggles. My computer would only intermittently recognize the goggles. I didn't bother trying to troubleshoot it because when it worked there were black borders all around in the goggles.

I had better luck using the vga/video input port on the goggles, but you need an adapter something like this:

With the correct cable to go from your PC to this box. This actually work very well, but it's a bit of a bother to keep activating the dual monitor feature on my computer, power/unpower this box and the configuration is a bit 'temperamental' dragging the app from the first monitor to the second 'monitor'."

I was able to get my dominator v3 working with my MAC book pro va the HDMI cable and it is awesome. The v3 have a mini hdmi and with the supplied cables and adapters it was no problem

A colleague and I decided to "share the hobby" at work recently, and we used FPV Freerider Recharged along with a couple pairs of DomV3s.

My Doms were set up so people could look through an actual quad's FPV goggles if they wanted, where as my friends were hooked up to the computer. We had a spare monitor hooked up mirroring the goggles so that spectators could see how the person was doing.

It worked fantastic.

Great initiative to share the hobby at work.

Looks fun, you have a nice setup there!

I am able to get my dominator v3s to work with fpv free rider fine

Actually, inexpensive VR headsets like Google Cardboard would be a great way to hold the phone while using a physical transmitter.

I wish there was a mode in settings to split the screen in two or, ideally, use the Google VR for Android

I'm using it along with a pair of Skyzone Sky02s V+ using their HDMI input and it works great. Best simulation experience so far! I use it along with the Turnigy Evolutions radio controller and it really feels like being on the field flying.

I'm really improving my skills so fast and without spending money to repair broken pieces on the drone :D
