so i've been trying to find games to play, and i keep seeing "erotic" or "adult" and i dont, look at that type of stuff, especially in when gaming. is their any way for them to stop showing up, so i can have a clean, non-sexual game searching?

Heya!

In 'settings', there should be an option to enable/disable adult content from showing up in the store! https://itch.io/user/settings

That that should prevent such content from showing up while browsing things!

Edit: Ah, upon looking on a SFW account, I think I see what you mean now. Even when games are hidden in main searches, the tags and games associated with the tags can still show up on the tag page, often with NSFW covers even if you have NSFW disabled.

Thank you!

Can you give me specific examples of places where you see this type of content where you expect to not see it?

https://itch.io/tags

For example--when viewed through a SFW account, or logged off entirely--will show associated adult tags, and adult games in the example games before you click, sometimes showcasing nsfw game covers. Though the games vanish when you click through to the actual tag if you have nsfw turned off, except if you click an explicitly adult one (adult, erotic, example, which are viewable through sfw or logged out browsing)

It seems like it might be a quirk of how tags are displayed before you click through to browse the games properly, as then the nsfw toggle is activated accordingly.
