The So... But... Game

I hope I've put this in the right place. I've been rereading a book called the Ruins by Scott Smith recently and came across a game two of the characters would play, and thought it might be fun to bring here. You would start the game with a "So" statement, and reply with a "But" statement, and go back and forth to create a story. The example in the book is as follows: "So, there was once this girl who bought a piano" "But, she didn't know how to play it" "So, she signed up for lessons." "But she couldn't afford them." ect. ect. I'll start with... "So, there was once a guy who loved cats."
