Why not add touch support (for the time being)

Hi! I love the game, however, my pc broke just as I was getting into the game. I know a mobile version won't be added for a long time, but could you at least make a touch function as a mouse click for the time being? I know for fact other game engines (specifically Godot) have an option to make touch function as a mouse click, but I don't know if Construct 2 has this option. If it does, why don't you add it? I agree that mobile support should be delayed until the game is complete, but until then, you should at least have basic touch controls for those that wish to play the web version on their mobile device.

Hi, sorry about your PC...

Funnily enough, I remember the game working on mobile on itch.io in the very early days, but something must've broken it.
There used to be rudimentary touch support in some beta version (I believe it was 0.2.9) but people didn't like it as it made playing with a mouse unpleasant (basically you had to have your mouse perfectly still when clicking).
I could have two separate versions for touch and mouse input, but that'd add unnecessary complexity, especially when the game is still changing this much.

What about touch emulating a mouse click but not the other way round? Godot does this by having 2 separate options (see screenshot)

Is there nothing like this in Construct 2?

Well, the best way would be for touch to emulate mouse clicks (wouldn't have to replace hundreds and hundreds of events), unfortunately, I don't see a good way of doing that in Construct 2.
