awesome! Keep it up!

not out?

Yeah, giant decreases in fps after that point

Thanks, good work on the game!

Hyped!

I have a 1366 x 768 monitor and my browser is at 100% zoom. Manu menus and windows in game are too large to fit, and it becomes impossible to play like this.

That's awesome to hear, I'm more into Godot but also love using SDL2/raylib for making web games in wasm. I'll check out the game later, thanks.

wow, that's awesome. I've used PixiJs, never knew you could pair react with it. I'm not one for frontend frameworks (the insane amount of them, and the arguments people have about them, have made me follow vanilla js instead.) But I'm happy for you and hope you continue development. The game looks fantastic, is there any way I can follow development of this?

I think he made that background scene himself.

Again, you should really learn how to become a graphics designer.

I didn't say anything about a guide?

there is no guide. This is not how you become a good game developer, you have to learn how to implement these mechanics all by yourself.

you want a guide to recreate hardware tycoon?

are you asking if it's possible? of course it is.

probably JavityEngine, developed by him https://github.com/Radomiej/JavityEngine?tab=readme-ov-file

It's programmed in Java, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but it's fine for smaller projects like these.

I understand, I've used Construct 2 and get how messy and difficult the code can be. But I don't see a problem with letting the community have a go at trying to understand it. Providing explanations is your choice but either way, if you do or not, access to this code could help so many people with their own little projects.

Yeah I get it, you don't have time to organise everything to make the game open-sourced, but you don't need to.

All that we need are the project files, we don't care about the organisation, or anything like that. I, for example, just want it so I know how you made the systems so I can replicate it on another engine. It'll be a nice parting gift, even if it's all messy.

lmao that's hilarious

Unreal Engine was made for 3D games, I wouldn't recommend it for a 2D game like this. Besides, Godot is entirely free. Zero ads, zero revenue cut, zero paid features, entirely open-source. Godot is funded entirely on donations and has far better 2D functionality and performance compared to Unity & Unreal Engine.

I'd prefer Godot but those other two are fine

I've heard that many Chinese use VPNs in order to bypass the Great Firewall. Not all websites are banned, only certain ones that may interfere with the CCP's ability to use propaganda. I won't get too far into the politics.

I agree.

I tried to search up "UZG 2", the game's name is literally just "UZG 2 (BETA)" and yet none of the results give me what I want, and instead give me some random ahhh song from a year ago.

Right there with you, Crosshairs.

what?

I had a great time, thank you.

On another note, could you open-source the project? It would be helpful to those that wish to continue the project themselves, or those (like me) that want to make a shoddy remake on a more up-to-date engine.

At this rate, we'll get Half-Life 3 before Haxor gets the motivation to release 0.3.

we can only hope...

Now that you're slowing down with the updates (while the game is still in beta nonetheless) I'm half-tempted to remake UZG.

ngl you need some work on the thumbnail images

This looks like it was made using Godot, could I please get the source code for it? I really need it.

Could ya hand me the source code? I really want to understand the code behind the swinging, need it in my own game and can't find any online resource about it.

(1 edit)

Could you please make this compatible on Godot 4.1?

shit. I can't make art or music for my own life.

What does presentation mean in this context? Like graphics or game design? Give examples for good presentation.

Haxor has already answered your question, but even if it was to be added, I don't think Haxor would spend money out of pocket on servers for multiplayer.

It isn't a very hard feature to develop on any game engine -- all you have to do is make a button that returns whatever png or jpeg file the user picks, then set the company logo as the value returned.

It's great to see some of my favourite games get some recognition. I wish you the best of luck in your game development journey, from one game developer to another.

Take your time and make sure you limit the amount of features, too many will result in a loss of motivation & far longer development time, thus resulting in an eventual death of the game, abandoned by both the developer and the players.

When is this update coming to web?

I absolutely loved the first game! I was scrolling through Godot games, and I found THIS! I never knew you made a sequel, and even better, I didn't know it was made in Godot!
