Button & Platforms - 3D Platformer [01-11-2022] - YouTube

I am currently working on a 3d platformer. It will be a small game, where you go explore around little islands.

The past 2ish weeks I was mainly playing around with textures and 3d models to see what kind of visual art style I would suit my game.

Right now, I am working on the controls and move set, making the character feel right to play is the most import part for a fun 3d platformer.

Now with a spin jump.

Now with invisible blocks that will turn visible when you get close to them.

The hero would make a great ice skater. And the game should rate and give points from the jumps.

Obstacles that move.

I like the art style in this picture.  Please don't change it because it looks more attractive.

Well, I already did change it since then. I am still tweaking to what I want the artstyle to be.
Making levels will be an import part for this project. This tutorial level should be enough for the to learn how to control the character. : godot (reddit.com)

Models for harpies and mermaids, enemies who will try to kill you.

Testing out some comic style framing. 2 different methods, both with their pros and cons. It's a pain to set up. I have to think of a way to make it a bit more efficient to make. I will do some adjustments and then I will make a test cutscene. If the cutscene proves to be successful, I will move on to the next important aspect of the game, save files and quests.

I am decently happy with the progress I have made the last few weeks. Soon the real game will be in development. It's time to really get creative with what I want this project to become. Although I still have to do loads of bugs fixes and other tweaks.

Silhouette shader! Just like fog, but better.

Obstacle course for when you explore the waters!

I have now successfully made a side-quest!
