LonaRPG - The first time I started this game, I had quite a few hopes, because Hentai is a game in the spirit of standard RPGs, one with well-thought-out lore and gameplay, well, how can you pass by, well, that was before I downloaded and launched it, now the place of high hopes has been replaced by great indignation, because instead of a well-thought-out RPG, I got a soup of crooked mechanics under the guise of an RPG, and no, I have no complaints in principle about good lore, history, stylish visuals, music, an absolutely unreal world, no, leave all this to those others who do not know what RPGs and games are in principle, I have more global problems that need to be solved right now, because this is a claim to the very mechanics of the game, or to the gameplay, for which we all and we play games, without which it is IMPOSSIBLE to make games, because a game without gameplay is in fact not a game, and yes, yes, now they really like to release games without games on any console, or a movie, on all sorts of iTunes music without music, or rap, and even all sorts of NetFlix Movies without films, for example, the Witcher from NetFlix, where they completely forgot about lore rewriting in favor of modern trends, the pace of the story that is constantly changing, acting, camerawork, and so on, well, you understand, and is that really the case? I think not, that's why I'm writing this review, because I'm not indifferent to the fate of the project, because in it I see the potential broken by bad ideas, and the implementation of these very ideas, so I ask you to read carefully, because I tried to put together all the objectionable mechanics that you need to fix, and not add you an already broken game, more content that an ordinary gamer won’t even see, because he gets bored stupidly or he just burns out and drops the game, and I won’t write about all the gameplay, but I’ll write only specific jambs and possible options for their correction.
Problem #1:
Let's start with light, AI, what is his problem? well, he’s stupid, to the point of impossibility, so please tell me, would you like it if, for example, in the same bar, in a motel or just on the street, some type got to the bottom of it, started a fight, but he wouldn’t fight himself, but would start dancing? and yes, you understood correctly, the enemies in this game first run and then dance around you, without explaining the reasons, they just dance around you, and is that really interesting? or that instead of fighting, rats crawl through your legs and start biting your ass? and after turning on them, they continue to spin and bite at the same time, or that the Goblins, instead of a normal fight, also spin around you, and instead of a normal fight, you have to play a fun (not at all) mini-game, to calculate the timing when the Goblin gets on the tile, to hit him, so that after he continues his dance and so on until the end until you kill this goblin, I haven’t seen this in more than one RPG and here they are, and the most fun begins when you fight with a big bunch of homeless people in open field, and notonly do the homeless spin a round dance all the time instead of just surrounding the heroine and fighting normally, but after hitting each blow they send the heroine to the camp, when our heroine, with a saber, for example, cannot do this, a bunch of dirty, not washed, naked bums with fists at the ready, they send our heroine to the camp after each blow, it’s just tryndets, I have no other words on this subject, well, you must understand that this is NOT interesting, and even though this is it's still beta, and maybe you thought to fix it somehow later, but if you're already selling the game for $30, then maybe it should be fixed now, ehh... ok, since you haven't decided yet, then I'll try you to shove in this direction and since I promised, to suggest how you can fix this cant, all the more so here you just need to tighten up the AI script a little, namely, write a script in which they circle around you too often, or if the enemy hasn’t taken any for a very long time hostile actions against the heroine, for example, he became in a defensive stance and does not go out with it (this is very noticeable with enemies with a shield), an attack script is activated in which they fight, this of course will not solve the problem, but now it will not be so conspicuous . (and by the way, since they haven’t left with those yet, I suggest to enemies with shields who are very fond of carrying out passive actions towards the heroine, and don’t even think about getting off the block, because of which it’s impossible for enemies to inflict normal damage, so violent, make changes that, after three hits, like a weapon, throw them into the camp, well, or this is not the case, you just transfer energy for nothing)
Problem #2:
And our bad hit parade will continue, a truly ingenious mechanic with exchange points would like, what is their problem? I’ll tell you with an example, any RPG, because there wasn’t such a thing in any RPG, because this is some kind of not healthy garbage, and to be honest, even at the beginning I thought that it was just some kind of strange bug, but no, do money as a separate monetary unit, which is reset when you re-enter the location, it’s just the height of genius, and it’s okay if it were reset only after sleep, although it’s debatable, it would look even more tolerable than now, but no, in this game it’s literally after re-entering the location, for example, in a tavern, go into the courtyard and back, the sum will be reset, does she just throw away the money because they are not needed? or how? and I am silent when re-entering the map from the tavern to the same tavern, it’s just brilliant, I don’t even know for whom it was invented? after all, normal players won’t endure this, and others won’t even launch the game, I don’t know, and honestly I don’t want to know, I just advise you to remove this mechanic and make a normal currency that, upon receipt, directly falls into the inventory by weight 0.001 for each coin or remove them from everything weight, or leave it but correct this misunderstanding, because it’s not funny, and it’s not cool, but the most stupid thing not to eat is that you leave the location with money and enter without.
Problem #3:
And finally, the most WORST mechanic that I have ever seen, the mechanics of stamina recovery, and yes, I’m talking exclusively about recovery, I have no questions about the mechanics of vigor, such mechanics when you fight while there is energy, there is a place to be and lives in almost every RPG from the 90s to the present, and has gone through many development options, in most cases now this mechanic serves as nothing more than a simple limiter so that players do not spam the same button and leave the enemy in an eternal camp , (speaking of the lack of impact in your game) but there is also your mechanic that works, about the same with only one important BUT, their recovery is faster and better than yours, and what are the differences? hmm ... I don’t even know, maybe in order to restore energy you need to sleep, holding the button for 3 whole seconds to restore only 20 units of energy, in order to hold it again later, and again, in other words, literally wait, yeah well, the gameplay is of course brilliant, Kojima is probably sleeping there and crying that he didn’t think of it before, I’m not just wallowing from such mechanics, was it really so difficult to just take and give the opportunity to press this very rest button, apply a buff to the MC on the passive restoring vigor for 10 seconds restoring the same 20 energy points, for the same 10 hunger points with the ability to stack up to five buffs at the same time, in other words, you press the button and your energy passively starts to recover and you can press it 5 times to restore 100 energy points for 50 hunger units in the same 10 seconds, is it really so difficult? I came up with this in 5 minutes, as soon as I saw this tryndets, I came up with it right away, and this not only frees you from stupid standing still, or rather stupid sleep on the ground, but also sharply but aptly increases the pace of the game itself from boring and call standing still by pressing or holding one button, into a more or less good combat where right during the battle you can not only hold out for a long time due to passive recovery and now start really using all your abilities, but now the game really becomes more interesting and even a little more dangerous by bringing the HP dice to the fore, covering the energy dice, as it should be in any self-respecting RPG and finally giving the opportunity to die during the fight, which also in turn really makes sense in buying HP recovery potions, plus this in fix one more problem that EVEN the creators of Dark Souls did not allow themselves, the second chance mechanic that everyone has now modern games, because now to look at how your hero just falls from fatigue and cannot do anything is not only disgusting, but also very stupid and uninteresting, because you want to play the game and not look at how they kill you over and over again, without giving not a single chance of salvation, just because it's stupidly not interesting, I'll tell you more in any game it's not interesting to lose, even in dark souls where the main gameplay is overcoming through repeated death over and over again, even there they understood what to die it’s not interesting without a chance to save, and therefore they made working tricks and when the boss is hit, you have every chance that your hp will not go to zero and you can always run away and heal the flag with Estus, even they understood this, NOOO in fairness, despite all the negativity that I have splashed out and for a large number of jambs, I would like to note something good in this game, for example: I was very pleased with a certain system of the living world of this game, from the standard for RPG systems of random kills, before random kills already on the map itself, for example, when collecting all sorts of herbs on the map, several wild boars can spawn that not only live their own lives, but can also start some kind of fight for the territory with exactly the same wild boar as he, but for example also with a pack of wolves, which in any case go in a pack, and do not lag behind each other, which looks pretty good, I was also pleased with the extensive arsenal of weapons, and although now there is a scarce, but a diverse number of perks from which you can create your own strong build and play as you want (no, I lied a little, in fact, this is not so, because in the game perks work by sealing mechanics, that is, when taking a perk for example on a quality weapon, you are forbidden to use divine or be weak-willed, although the question is why I can’t being a weak character and at the same time wielding the same saber remains open, and yes, if you thought that this was some kind of garbage that needs to be removed, you rightly thought), extensive endings (I also wanted to write about the variety of paths and developments, but unfortunately not, the game is linear to eerily), the chosen middle-age music, visual style, this is all though not badly done, but you can’t make a game out of this, because it’s everything will not hold without good gameplay, you know the gameplay is like glue, if it is good then it glues all aspects of the game together well, and a person will enjoy the game to the fullest, provided that the aspects are good, but you should not worry about it, but if the glue got bad, then he will not only glue the aspects together badly, because of which they will fall apart and the game will look like a mess without a uniform, but the person playing will not notice all the good things in this game, but will only see the mess of non-working mechanics, which is why get annoyed, because of which he is likely to drop this game, and seriously, now this is the most difficult problem that does not give a normal opportunity to enjoy it, you either stupidly fall asleep in it out of boredom, what is going on here, or how through my entire vast vocabulary of obscene language, gritting my teeth and beating my fists on the table, you go through the game, and no, even though there is a whole lot of uneven games, during which you also swear a lot, but after passing which, you don’t you feel negative, this game is not the case, if honestly there is such a feeling as if they didn’t just spit in your soul, but continue and continue to spit, during the entire passage, and you know this is not very pleasant, and despite the whole the negative spilled by me, I really hope for your feedback and inconspicuous correction of this problem, because the game has an undiscovered potential, which is not too late to reveal and release a project worthy of B or even A-class games, even despite the fact that this is a Hentai game.
