This is where you can post bugs that you've encountered in-game. Please include the version that you are playing along with the means at which you were able to encounter the bug.
Is probably something on my end, but with the controller (i'm using a xbox one controller plugged to my pc) sometimes when i talk to npcs the game keeps interacting again even if i walk away, like i talk and then keep being interrupted while walking by the dialogue window. Im playing on version v0041, on windows.
That's odd...it's probably activating from a gamepad doublefire (the controller outputs more than one signal on a single button press), however there is a set delay in the code that should prevent repeated interactions upon exiting a conversation. Are you able to re-create the bug with only the keyboard or the with the gamepad disconnected?
Yeah you almost certainly hit the nail in the head there, using just keyboard + mouse it doesn't cause this issue. It might be steam's controller configuration not playing along with the game since I can still control some things on the mouse while in the game (like moving the cursor on the analog stick).
>steam's controller configuration
Steam overlay (or whatever Steam thingy you have going on) is probably the root cause your issue, however, I've gotten feedback from some players that do fine if not better with it on. It mostly depends on your driver setup. I recommend launching the .exe on it's own using your graphics processor if possible. Generally, the game should recognize any hardware that can use an XInput interface. Thanks for playing!
Hello Skiibee, thanks for the heads up. I just fixed the game over screen, which was a silly error on my part; i forgot to re-enable the visibility for the button UI. I'll look further into the manual bug in the mean time. It should be an easy fix. All of these fixes will be present in v005.
ps: cool youtube, thanks for taking the time to play and make MSC videos! Awesome job with the Fang models! hahah
So i figured out a way to do the long distance talk glitch, and it seems like it related to character positioning.
If you try to talk to someone while on a slope, you might start moving slightly. If you slightly move, you can do the glitch. Repeatedly talk to a character until you start sliding and don't finish the conversation until you're out of their normal talk range. Finish the conversation and you should be able to talk to them from a distance.
You should be able to end the glitch by getting near the glitched npc and talking to them.
If you try to talk to another character while the glitch is still active, their text repeats too. You can spread the glitch to every character on the map and eventually the text box will be an unfixable mess.
v.0041
The Curved Ramps and Half Pipes in the WIP Pacific Avenue and Test Map seem to present two recurring bugs related to jumping off and landing. Releasing jump at the top of a ramp while applying any amount of steering input sometimes results in an instant wipeout. This doesn't happen consistently upon applying that input, but when it does happen it's always while that input is applied. It seems like at an angle the forward thrust of the jump crosses over the top of the ramp's hitbox more than in a purely vertical approach, causing a collision to be registered.
I've also had instances of properly aligned landings resulting in wipeouts on this map as well. I have not found an exact input which triggers this bug, and it's rare to occur. Both Bugs have been almost entirely absent within the Warehouse map. The one and only instance I encountered either bug on the warehouse map (the first bug) was on the one ramp that wasn't either parallel or perpendicular to the others (The ramp on the outside corner of the warehouse itself). Even with that ramp, it hardly ever happened.
I don't know squat about coding, but I hope the details here might make spotting the cause easier. Best of luck adding grinding, hope that doesn't present too much malfunction and frustration!
An update, I have another possible culprit for what could be causing these bugs, alongside some others. I'm starting to think that the top platform of vertical ramps is being collided with at times. This is because alongside the two bugs mentioned before, I've also had bugs such as
- A combo being performed only for the points to be indicated as just an ollie with no more than 1400 points upon landing. (Seemingly due to the game registering landing down from one platform onto another)
- Rare instances of bouncing off the top of the ramp on landing. Even getting stuck at the top upon performing a manual when landing.
thanks for all of the feedback! i’ll try my best to fix all of the issues you’ve mentioned for v005.
i’ve recently fixed the quarterpipe bail issue (i think), which mostly had to do with a bug where the skater would detect a wall and not a floor on the steepest-most part of the quarterpipe, resulting in a bail. I also think it’s a topography issue (how the 3d shapes/polygons are put together) as the warehouse ones are the most consisent. i’m still trying to figure it out so that it could be near flawless for v005. either way, with the wall problem being cleared up, the skater can skate 360 loops now which is neat :)
the combo-counter needs an overhaul, as doing new combos while the old combo text is still up would typically result in a borked combo. i’ll fix it soon.
bugs aside, thanks for following and playing the game!
that is intentional. the windows are transparent because the texture is too. the warehouse walls of include what’s called an “occulder”, which “unrenders” things that are behind it to save on computer performance. i never took the time to snip out all the windows so that wouldn’t happen hahah. i’ll try to fix it for v005. thanks for playing!
Its harmless since it doesn't get you stuck or anything (you can still get out of it and drive the cart normally) but if you jump over the shopping carts at the Costco skate park and press y while you are above them you can hop in while doing the aerial animation and slowly sink below the level.
Haven't tested it on the shopping carts at the other levels, but tried it with the ATV there and it doesn't cause the same bug.
Sometimes when doing grinds, I've had the character suddenly teleport back to the beginning of the rail. This has happened particularly on the outdoor grind spots (both rails and the tops of ramps) of the Costco map. It's absent on the interior and beyond that map I've only seen it occur on the red rail on Warehouse.
I made a list of some bugs

Hello Sleepee,
That’s odd. Does your X button normally work when walking/skating? If not, you may need to check your gamepad input drivers. Most XInput-compatible computers and devices should work with the game.
The minigame works using xb360, ps3, and ps5 controller on Linux, and xb360 and ps5 controller on Win 11. Although I wouldn’t rule out a game bug to be the issue yet, I wasn’t able to replicate the issue using these combinations. If you can, please let me know what you tried and if the issue persists.
Hi SpaceDimSum! I use a PS4 Dualshock Controller on Windows 10, my CPU is an intel i7 with 16 gigs of RAM if you need my specs. My controller is plugged directly into my system, no bluetooth/wireless. Inputs are read properly elsewhere in the game. With X I am able to jump and ollie just fine. I've been trying the minigame off and on, it only somewhat works if I mash X and O alternating- sometimes I am able to get a hit or two out if I'm lucky. I haven't had issues with inputs on any of my other games; Not on Steam, Not on Dolphin, Not on any other game I've run.
If there is anything else I can do to help iron out this specific issue, I'll be happy to help! Thanks for your time
According to your specs, the minigame controls should be working. However, PS controllers I have two possible fixes:
If you have any additional input devices (besides keyboard and mouse) plugged into your pc, it may be messing with the game’s ability to properly read inputs. This shouldn’t be the culprit of the issue but it’s worth a try.
Although PS4+ controllers are considered generic “DirectInput” devices recognized properly in windows, some inputs may not work properly in certain situations whereas a device using the alternative “XInput” API will (xbox gamepads, most 3rd party non-Sony gamepads). I know for a fact that Xinput works with the godot engine. To utilize XInput on a non-X device, you can create a DInput-to-XInput wrapper using Steam:
-Add morgan_skate_club_v005.exe to your Steam library
-Right click morgan_skate_club_v005.exe and select “Properties”
-Select “Controller” and select the dropdown option listed “Enable Steam Input”
-connect ps4 controller and ensure Steam recognizes it
-close menu and launch game through Steam.
Let me know if that works!
