Individual Permissions

I'm suggesting that we can get specific permissions for individual admin levels.

  • Contributor
  • Edit game description
  • Edit meta data, etc.
  • Upload/edit/delete game builds
  • Make the game public / draft / private
  • Edit theme
  • Funds withdrawl

This will avoid conflict amongst different admin levels.  It's kind of odd to make anyone 0 or 100.  There needs to be a permissions table for individual admin levels, on a game-by-game basis.

At the very least, allow us to make people marked as "Contributors" without making them an admin that can edit the game page.

Please.

[Edit:  I couldn't find my previous post, anywhere, so I made this topic.  I apologize if it's still out there, somewhere.  This topic is more precise about the feature request, so maybe it's necessary.]

Hey,

I remember your original topic, it's over here: https://itch.io/t/261383/more-advanced-permissions

No worries about creating a second topic. I think the approach we're going to take is to allow you to set contributors without giving them edit permission. We did something similar for jams but haven't had a chance to apply this to project pages yet.

Is there any update on listing people as contributors (and having the game credited on their account), without making them admin of the game?

Sorry, we haven't had a chance to add this feature yet!

OK!
We'll then keep an eye out for when such a feature does get added. :)
