Android devices are quite handy media servers due to their power efficient ARM processors. Same as Mac OS with M1 chips. Its a shame how difficult if not impossible setting up SMB is on android & mac OS and that Heresphere doesnt support DLNA like other media players on Quest 😔

In the meantime you can take a look at "Tiny Webserver" for Android or any webserver for Mac.

I only use heresphere for certain VR180 Videos, for those xbvr does an incredible job with it's heresphere integration/compatibility.

I use Windows, but it's also available for Mac. I would think that there probably is something like xbvr for Movies and TV Shows - you could even use xbvr for that if you added your library manually or wrote your own scraper.
