So i've been working on this little project for a couple of months now, It's my first game so i've been learning each aspect of game development as I go along. I've got to a point now where I'd like some feedback for the actual gameplay and the game in general.  So i've made a playable prototype!

In this prototype you can play through a repeatable level with different outcomes depending on how you handle problems.
Its not much but you can get a good 5 or so minutes play out of it (depending on if you try again for a better score).

Anyway I would really appreciate some overall feedback of the gameplay and it would be great to hear how you get on with the game, i.e if it is easy enough to pick up, understandable at a glance, etc.

I should mention that ofc this is a prototype and the final product will have a overhaul of new graphics and more mechanics will be implemented, etc.

XD hahahahah i didnt clean a spill when i went to get someones shopping and an old lady bit the dust.

The game has a good quality to it, i actually played it for a little while. i managed to get a C grade.  I like what you got so far.  do you plan to have separate levels or just ramp the difficulty up every so often ?

in my opinion Its hard to keep track of the mouse and character especially coming out of that zoomed in view when running through the isles. It took me a minute to figure out what to do in that view.

There are a 2 other things less important. It just depends if you want more in depth feedback.

Keep it up, im looking forward to see where you take it!

Hey, thanks for giving it a go! Glad you enjoyed it! Lol you need to keep an eye out for those spills :P

I appreciate the feedback! Its my first game so had to learn a lot as I went along, including cameras and cutscenes.

The initial plans were for 7 levels that got progressively tougher, but after some thought im decided to make it a mini game with a bit more rng implement, each playthrough will have random 'Scenarios'.

Im hoping to come back to this game and make it fresh following the original plans, but once i have a bit mpre expierence.

But im still open to input and feedback! So sure please feel free to get into details!

Thanks again for playing :)

You're hoping to come back to it? What are you going to do in the meantime ?

Well it was just that the viewport showing the thief was blocking the thief as i was trying to chasing him/her down.

And i was wondering about your decision to hide the stats? I personally click to show them straight away every time and just wondered why they where hid in the first place.

but that was all!

Yeah i think i needed a little work on the HUD tbh, so that cameras, mini maps etc aren't getting into the way.

And originally the stats screen was supposed to be an interactive control for the store, opening new checkouts, calling for help etc, but those features kind of got dropped off.

Well i still enjoy the concept of the game, I want to come back with a fresh attempt in the future, but for the mean time ill work on some other projects to improve my skills.

Im working on something quite different at the moment which I intend to post about soon, just finishing up some pieces first!

Thanks again for the feedback, i take it all on board and will surely implement it in future works!

Oh awesome! im looking forward to seeing your new stuff
