Welcome to Revenge of Noxi! This is a project I've been working on for a while and would love to finally get some honest feedback from outside eyes!

Its an homage to my favourite games from childhood on the old Sega Megadrive.

In this Demo there are 4 levels with 2 boss fights!

At the moment I am busy working on the final product but could really do with some honest input, I've been staring at it too long and my Granny can only give so much feedback!

____________________

Play as the ultimate ninja badass Noxi and help her get revenge through 5 fast paced increasingly difficult levels each with their own boss fight.

Use magic, sword and shurikens to fight off an army of monsters and save your loved one.

Bring Noxi to the top floor of her destroyed home over dangerous terrain with athletic jumps, flips, sprints and slides

Ive set up a Survey for basic feedback and would love to hear some feedback and get a better idea where to take the game!

#BlackLivesMatter

So this was a really cool, creepy and atmospheric short game with lovely pixel art, smooth gameplay, a tense soundtrack and simple but challenging game mechanic.

Just played through and think its really great, there were some pretty tense moments (especially the 'boss')  and parts which left me feeling almost guilty? Thats weird.

Now that im finished, a beautiful project with a beautiful end.

Well done to the team, 100% worth it.

That was great fun, great design. Kept me on me toes, and freaked me out a fair frew times.

You've done a great job capturing the annoying customers of retail, and the overall gameplay loop is well done, played it for an hour or so and really enjoyed it.

Will give it another go once I've calmed down from the "shift".

I really enjoyed this eerie and abstract adventure/puzzle, lots of room for discovery. A lovely style and the soundeffects/soundtrack is very ominous.

I made a short puzzle game with some very abstract and strange themes, I wanted to show some of the thoughts that pop into my head whilst trying to sleep.

Find it here: https://megamini009.itch.io/narkose

Its very simple controls, and it has lots of possible directions you can go in.

Its free and in browser playable, let me know what you think!

Tonight I couldn't sleep so I decided thats a good time to try making some art. I'd heard of this through twitter and a couple of streams where people tried it out and figured i'd give it a go.

Not actually knowing what a Zine was I did a little search to get an idea and then I was off on an unexpected 2hr journey.

The amount of tools within this "art toy" is really amazing, and so nice to use. It keeps it user friendly whilst giving some very cool options for editing your images.

I played around and created my first ever zine, with some weird images which I didnt even realize I could make!

I like  making glitch and strange/horror themed art which I managed to make with ease here.

The randomization on the distortion tools is great for making yourself something unique and a bit creepy!

At the end I was given pretty awesome instructions of how to print and fold the thing so I now have my own little Zine which I will keep on my desk!

Will use again in the future for sure, and looking forward to any updates.

Thank you for playing.

Thank you very much for playing, im glad you enjoyed it. It means a lot.

Thank you, I enjoyed watching your playthrough a lot.

Loved the video, thank you for playing

Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you, im very proud of it

Looking great, some very smooth animations perfect for a hack and slash game!

Stuck in an endless loop, you begin to lose touch with your reality. Is your mind playing tricks on you? Or is it this place?

If you can break the cycle maybe you can find freedom.

Fidelity is a reality bending puzzle game where you must break free from your loop by finding all the flaws in your surroundings.

With progressively difficult stages and a random selection system, no two playthroughs will be the same.

If you're this far then Id like to ask you to take a look at my atmospheric puzzle game based around losing touch with reality. This game is free and is officially released and is playable in Browser or downloadable for Windows.

I've been working alone on this unique take on "Spot the difference" for the last few months and would love to reach a wider audience of like minded people.

Please don't hesitate to contact me here or on my twitter account @megamini009. Thank you for your time.

New image with added soundtrack

New Animation complete today.

Working on making progress scenes in the game, an unravelling message over time/difficulty.

Good fun, played it for a bit and got 16 points.

Its quite tough! But I enjoyed that you could get some fun out of nice simple mechanics.

I really liked how smooth it felt, personally I like playing fast games that dont make you wait around too much!

Good work :)

Well that was pretty fun, love how angry the landlady sounds... I lasted till she got into the bedroom, but the cat wouldnt budge!

It looks and sounds good, and I ended up trying to shoo away the landlady... shes far less stubborn than the cats.

Had a few goes at this and at first couldn't figure it out, but then it grew on me. It was surprisingly creepy.

Anyway looks nice and enjoyed the challenge.

To play, simply search the rooms for the flaw, when found click to continue to the next, tougher problem.

I've been making a "spot the difference" style game with a random selection system that will select objects within the room and change their appearance, starting off with radical changes and progressing to more difficult to spot minor differences.

This will hopefully ensure that during your play throughs there wont be a "cheat sheet" as such, as every stage will be different.

Its a dark theme that I hope will provoke some thoughts.

...............................................................................................................................................................................

Art for main game room at the moment is finished, and most of the game mechanic is programmed, working out some difficulty issues and updating older sprites.

Will be working on some sound dialogue scenes over the next few days.

Updates to follow.

aside from that think it looks pretty cool, like the look of the mechanics :)

gifs look really nice tbh, agree with another poster about lava colour being a a bit too bright.

But wit the new animations and the corners etc it looks a lot better for sure.

Really liked the art, caught my eye so had a play through :)

Yeah i think i needed a little work on the HUD tbh, so that cameras, mini maps etc aren't getting into the way.

And originally the stats screen was supposed to be an interactive control for the store, opening new checkouts, calling for help etc, but those features kind of got dropped off.

Well i still enjoy the concept of the game, I want to come back with a fresh attempt in the future, but for the mean time ill work on some other projects to improve my skills.

Im working on something quite different at the moment which I intend to post about soon, just finishing up some pieces first!

Thanks again for the feedback, i take it all on board and will surely implement it in future works!

That sounds good, will be interested to see how it turns out!

I did like that it focused on the mech, it gives the game a different feel to another survival wave game, that being said it is true, you do get the hang of it after a few goes. Will the mechanics also be getting more difficult as the player progresses in some way?

As for whether holding shift and the mouse being hard or exhausting; I didnt find it particularily difficult and personally I found it made the mech feel more interactive. If you let go of the button its like you're letting go of the Mech's sticks, it makes it more important, I would but up for trying a 'press to activate' but I have a feeling that it will feel too easy then,  or at the very least a little less interactive.

Hope that helps!
