Hey Devs!

My names Meg from Lost attic games. Im reaching out to find Developers who want to take on more than just a quick freelance job and instead are in a position in their lives where they are able to help us develop games and build up a full Studio.

We currently are two Developers, Myself a concept artist and Art director with plenty of AAA experience and Scott who is an ex programmer from Google.

Lost Attic is a co-op studio, or worker cooperative. A worker owned game studio that has no bosses and we are the shareholders! We are owned and operated democratically by our members with equal ownership, equal say, and equal pay.

We are currently working on a 2d rouge like game in Unity, Its a ton of fun  and we are about to start crowdfunding and marketing. But as I mentioned we are just two and could do with some other roles filled.

We have some budget, but that has mostly been ear marked for our marketing push and any last minute needs.

The position ,initially is revenue share only, but we are obviously hoping that that will change as the studio progresses. It would suit someone like myself who works for a games studio part time and uses my spare time to build up their own studio. I don't want to work for others forever and the dream is to create game's full of passion that give us all a good income.

If you do fancy being part of Lost Attics future get in touch!  Happy to hear from all disciplines including Marketing and Community Management.

Hello, I'm a programmer myself with many years of half finished projects in a lot of various languages. I'm most proficient at using Unity for now though. I've mostly dealt with making RPG style games and systems. Link to my main project below (Everything there is made by me, I'm no artist but I'm proud of what I've put together)

The game above is pretty fully functional (from a gameplay loop perspective). Random battles, saving, classes, skills, items, equipment, towns, shops. So I know how to at least put a working game together.

I've not really done any 3D game development, so I'd have rough patches in those areas as I got accustomed to models and whatnot. Inventory systems, functional RPG mechanics and such are stuff I'm at least decent at. I've also done some tactical RPG stuff but those examples are old as sin and were done in just pure languages like C++ when I was absolutely crazy; I do know how to make them though. More recently I made a little vampire survivors clone that has a lot of the functional elements. I've worked a bit on platformer style games in the past too and once made a pretty good little control script with wall-jump capabilities I was happy with... but they're not really my forte. Happy to broaden horizons though.

I have an interest in finding people to work with on projects because I finally think I'm getting to the point where I'm confident in my own skill. I'd like to sit down and see what you guys are working on and talk a bit to see if there's a shared interest in working together.

I'm fine with Revenueshare but I will want to see a realistic plan for the project being released ever before I'd sign onto anything. Not specifically targeted at you guys, just something I would mention for any project of the type I signed on for.

You can contact me on Discord at ScrapMettle#9749 or you can just respond to me here.

Hi Scrapmettle, you should have a discord friend request from my teammates with the name: Splinterofchaos.

Cheers!

Thanks! and yes i completely agree with you on this point. A solid timeline will be the first thing we do. The game itself is already started and is in the third wave of testing on its first tutorial level(proof of concept)

Thanks everyone who has emailed the studio so far. We are still replying to everyone. I'm still particularly looking for a 2d artist/animator/tech artists to work with me.

Thanks 😊

Good morning or good afternoon to you !
I am interested, but if it doesn't bother you I do have a few question. I've seen that you are particularly looking for 2D Artist, are you looking for a character artist, an environment artist, specifically only an animator; or someone that can do all ? Are you looking for a specific ArtStyle ? Are you looking for someone experienced or a Junior could be a possibility too ?
Similar question for a Tech Artist, what will it entail ?

Thank you in advance for your answer !
