looking for feedback on my first interactive fiction bitsy game

i miss when the internet was chronological

i just made my first interactive fiction game for the #76 bitsy jam - 'lost media'

i'm looking for feedback on the cohesiveness of the scenes and the art itself, along with anything else that could improve.

i also feel like bitsy might be a dying game making program (or atleast it seems like the community has gotten smaller since they shut down the discord server) and would love to learn about the alternatives for making games of similar nature.

i'm open to giving others feedback on their games too!

Cool game, it has some solid interaction quality and an interesting message!

The dialogue seems to tie the ideas together nicely, but maybe the narrative can be driven a little more with symbolism the screen indicators? You've got it going on already, like the tumblr link storyline being activated by clicking the URL, but I would say to expand upon it some more. Maybe the ellipsis can be other symbols, instead of just three dots on a screen? Just my two cents.

I could use some feedback over here if you don't mind: https://wasabiiii.itch.io/grass-elemental-demo-demo

I've never used bitsy, I'll have to check that out as a budding pixel artist. It looks like a great place to start, especially for making games.

hey! thanks for checking out my bitsy, took a look at your game too and left a comment! great job on the demo, it was super fun

The game's art itself is beautiful, but at one point in the gameplay,

I got lost because the art is dominated by shades of blue, especially when we enter the Tumblr page.

I understand that you wanted to incorporate Tumblr's colors, but perhaps for better visibility, it would be ideal to have a higher contrast between the colors or use complementary colors to guide the player's gaze more effectively. Apart from that, it was a great game, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Here is the link to my game if you'd like to give me feedback as well.  https://guarana-studio.itch.io/super-cat-jump

thank you so much for your feedback! very helpful as i also did feel a bit lost when i play tested it, just couldn;t put a finger on what went a miss. will check you game out now! looks very fun
