I encountered a bug where the player could not load mp3 files with a filename that ended in a period. The filenames were "Above and beyond the Arachnean, we find ourselves among crystals..mp3" and "So it was that the small network in question lived for a time like a band of guerrillas..mp3". Removing the extra dot at the end resolved the problem.
