Unsure how to open the game

Hey, I'm still fairly new to itch.io so I don't know how to run all these games. When I open the file I can't find an executable or anything.  Am I missing something?

Developer

Hey man, i tried to make it executable but i couldn't make it work. I'm also very new to games development in general. Got it to play in the browser though, I'd love to hear what you think.

It's a nice base but has a few outstanding issues.

There's no tutorial, so I didn't know I had a double jump at first, and I am unsure what the slide does,  is it just a speed boost?

It felt luck based on whether I got past the flame traps since I never really knew when it was safe to pass, even the smoke afterwards seemed to kill me, which I find confusing. I think the camera should show more of the bottom layer of the stage because whenever I dropped down I couldn't see anything and was taking a leap of faith.

The only visual problem I have is that the lighting is a little too intense, and whenever my character got close to a torch he turned into the glowing restaurant guy.

Aside from that it seems pretty solid, I didn't play it for very long but it feels good to control and it's a decent basis. Good job.

Man… First off I wanna say thank you so much for taking the time to play it!  Not only that thank you for your feed back it really means a lot! I’m gonna get this issues fixed and release the next version in like a week or two, the feed back you gave was so handy, sometimes it’s hard to notice things like that when you’re real close to it yknow.

The slide was originally designed to slide under platforms and traps, but I was toying with the idea of using it as a way to do that but also to slow your character down so you can time the traps because you’re  absolutely right it does feel very luck based. Each trap has a radius to detect the player and come online but I might increase their detection  radius so that it makes them more varied. The only problem is some of them have really cool animations when they pop out and if I set it too high you don’t get to see it.

Anyway thank you again for the feedback man and please keep an eye for future updates.

No problem man.
