Donkey Kong II - Diagonal Jumping

ShinigamiKiba reported that in Donkey Kong II it's possible to jump diagonally. I don't have a physical unit to test this on but I assume this is achieved by pressing the  jump button and a direction button (left or right) at the same time.

I've created a test build that incorporates this behavior.

If you own this game let me know if this change matches the behavior on the physical hardware.

Hey man, thanks for adding diagonal jumping! This is it, in your version it's actually a easier to achieve the diagonal jump than on real hardware but as soon as I started playing the test build, I felt right at home and the feature I use so often was just there which made the game feel like the real thing. I wish my jump button worked so I could record a video of the diagonal jumping in person, it's a little harder to achieve on real hardware for some reason but it looks the same as it does on your version now and it's the same behavior.

Excellent work

Great! Thanks for bringing it to my attention and helping improve the accuracy of this simulation. I've updated the official release with these changes.

Hey your hitboxes for the play buttons on Ball and Flagman are broken, you might want to check the others too. I am using Chrome Browser. https://itizso.itch.io/retrofab

Clickable but very thin hitbox above the button.

These are very good btw well done.

Thanks. I'll investigate.
