Getting lots of points

Hi I don't want to bother but I'm wanting to try getting enough points to buy Kerfus but I'm having a hard time doing so as I have to juggle everything what upgrades or methods should I do to maximize my point gain?

If you really want to speedrun getting a Kerfur, there's two methods you can do right off the bat. You can clean the base, as garbage you send out can be sold for a hefty sum, and you can sell a bunch of MRE's from a secret barrel.

You also can sell fire extinguishers or set difficulty to max (more hashcodes = more points)

Yeah thanks to you both I knew about selling trash and the fire extinguishers but I'm not sure what to do once I run out of trash to sell save maybe buy the wood chipper the but either wooden Platte or curtains but from what I've seen both are expensive but I'd like to get upgrades too having the scanner move slow and the ping cooldown is rough. If there's anything else I could do let me know

Well, if it helps, try to invest in things that speed things up, and don't forget modules. Especially stuff that helps your job. As an example, I recommend getting the Storm Filter and ATV Solar Power ASAP, as the Storm Filter helps leave your stuff processing during a storm, and you won't need to maintain it, and the Solar Power will allow you to get around with your ATV without needing to spend points on fuel.

Once you have those things, I would recommend stuff that will speed up your work, like processing and download speed. Eventually, you'll get to a point where you'll have your daily task done and the day won't even be close to over, and you can keep sending stuff out for points, and your weekly reviews will give you even more points at the end of the week.

If you ever have any more questions, or you're looking for more tips, I'm always happy to help out, and if that's not enough, I have a whole thread on the forums that's full of tips and tricks that you can check out.

Okay thanks I'll see about that I just wanted Kerfur first so I could focus on signals and fixing any radars servers. Should I wait to get him or go ahead and buy one when I can?

It will definitely help. With enough effort, you'll get Omega Kerfur, as well. Then, all you'll need to focus on is your power management, and your signals, as Omega can fix servers, and do your daily task, as well as fix generators if they go down.

So should I try to get Kerfur as soon as I can? I haven't upgraded my proccess level at all yet I guess I should do that but I still need to clean the base too

One step at a time. Don't feel rushed, because the story is actually pretty long. Even if you aren't as efficient as you want to be, you'll get to where you want to be eventually. Kerfur will definitely help, but it's not exactly going to save you money without having a Solar ATV, because you'll still need to buy fuel for your daily tasks if you're low. It'll help you save fuel, however, so you'd still be using less money. Generally, I like to focus QoL stuff before signal efficiency, as the less money I spend on other things, the more I'll have to spend on signal upgrades later.

So what should I get when it comes to upgrades then? I sadly found out taking away points in upgrade apparently "steals" some points off I know I'd like to have sensor speed and make the cool down less as possible but dr.Bao wants me to give 3 drives with 0 level signals and unless I use up my points to make the scanner better I'm not going to get anywhere so far I've been taking and putting points into upgrades as I need them but again that's how i found out you end up losing some so I"m not sure what to do

Never send in signals that are level 0. You don't actually get points for them. Your priority off the bat should get your processing to level 1. It should be the upgrade at the bottom. Then you can start making money off of the drives you send out. There are 3 levels to process with, but until you get stuff that increases the speed in which processing works, you shouldn't go above 1 until you're comfortable with it. It takes a while to process, depending on the size of the drive, but you will get paid more for higher levels, so you should max the processing when you can.

So should I start over again since as I said subtracting points from an upgrade ends up with less after for instance I had enough to get the solar ATV module but I took the points back and had only 300 or so can't give the exact number. Point is it seems when it comes to the upgrades you need to be sure what you want apparently other wise this happens. Are you sure you get no points for 0 levle signals? That's what you have to start off wiht since it takes 50 points to go to level 1.
