Hello

Last year on Amiga day we played this and it crashed in the grotto where an item duplicates as you pick it up. Since then Itch.io has told me the game has been updated (twice). So this year on Amiga Day, we played it again.
Two things:
1) An image that is supposed to show someone (I forgot who) instead shows an Amos window with code.

2) The game crashes in the same place as before, the grotto where items duplicate.

Thanks for the report.

1) That window is intentional. The conversation explains it all.
2) There is no place in the game where an item duplicates when picked up: can you provide more details, please? Which item, exactly? If you can reproduce it, could you provide a screenshot or, even better, a video? Does the issue happen when resuming the game from a v1.0 snapshot (savegame)?

I'll give it a go this week to see if I can reproduce it. Ah yes ok then nevermind the Amos thing :) I was not the paying attention properly and someone said that it looked like a bug.

OK, thanks! If you can, please play the game from the beginning, as the duplication of the item makes me suspect that an incompatible savegame was used.

OK I replayed it from the beginning and I got the dupe bug when picking up the rope. 

I saved the game here, then loaded the game, and the dupe was gone. I only had one rope in the inventory.

This has happened at different places in the game, so it is not specific to this area.

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the issue.
A few questions:
 * which version of the game are you playing (you can get it by typing in a shell: Version "Ring around the World")?
 * what are the machine specifications (Amiga model, CPU, OS, etc.)?
 * the first time that an object duplicated, what was it and which was the recent sequence of actions until that event?
 * could you send me the savegame, please (it's in the "snapshots" directory)?
