Haven't played in awhile and downloaded new version but both old and new version are now crashing on start up and have tried many fixes. It seems to play the music but godot engine hard crashes and I have yet to see the menu

If you're okay with losing your saves, delete both versions of the game and delete the Roaming folder (%appdata%/Roaming/Strive for Power 2) then redownload the game and try opening it again

Already tried cleared every folder for the game

If there are any interesting error messages when you launch the game from the command line, it might help someone narrow down the cause.  Also I suggest you could download the original Strive 4 Power and see if that Godot game also crashes.

I'll try 4 power but I don't think it ever gave an error line from the batch

So far power Is fine retrying a new download and testing again

So strive loads up fullscreens and then looks like it tries to pull up a menu but crashes with just the choice box appearing no text in sight. The command line offers no info so the only guess  I have in the difference between the 2 is that somehow the forced full screen on strive causes the crash? Not sure if theres a way around that but is only thing I can currently think of

You can try to turn off the fullscreen setting in settings.ini in your appdata

Late reply got busy but that did it

And now it crashes on trying to start a new game on newest version Forget it I guess not meant to be

The appdata thing didn't help?

It did I just had to change some other things before i got it to work Not quite sure what exactly because I fiddled with a fair amount

Really could use your bugged setting to try and debug it
