Hi, i got rid of the empty placeholder page and i got a "proper" one set up, even with a downloadable file on it.

It still doesn't get indexed, nor does it appear in google search.

Can anyonbe help me with this?

I don’t see any issues with your page’s indexing. Please make sure you actually read the rules of the board before posting, don’t just click the checkbox.

We ask that you explicitly confirm that you have read our guide at https://itch.io/docs/creators/getting-indexed before making a topic about your page’s visibility.

Third party search engines like Google Search are completely outside of our control.

Should i just delete the page and make another one? Sigh.

No, recreating pages may get flagged as suspicious behavior and cause your account to be ineligible for indexing.

So im seeing lots of people are having the same issue. Should i just delete the page and make another one? Sigh.

No, that's a surefire way to start over. And your game is indexed. Please make sure you search by full title, especially with such generic words.

"search by full title" this can't be the solution. Peoples must find the games with one word or tags and this isn't working. The site must fix this.

Hoping that people would search your keyword title by accident is not a good strategy. That is what tags are for. Also, with your wording of "find the games with one word or tags", you apparantly do not know that there are two search boxes. The search box does not search by tags and tags are exhaustive results, if the games are not blocked by other reasons. Like being an adult game or not being indexed at all. The search by title results are not exhaustive. It is limited to about 60 results + exact title matches or something similar.

Itch could communicate this better. Making it more clear that the search is title search and on the results page, that this is not showing all results.

I'm telling you how search currently works. The systems has received improvements recently, but it's still optimized for people trying to locate a specific game. As explained in the Search&Browse FAQ, itch.io can't guarantee visibility for every project. Please make other plans as well.

It still doesn't show up in google search. My other game does however. And it also shows up on itch's search queue.

Yeah my games are hard to find too. It's a problem of the site.
Releases quickly disappear or are not visible.
