My account Light Games has an email on proton.me and when I log in, it needs two-factor authentication. But my email doesn't show in my mailbox in proton. (My email is in the account correctly, I checked it before I logged out from the account and I contacted email itch support) I need help please.

You need to post a ticket ID if you need to make a request for an account specific issue. You get this in the receipt email when you contact support. Please make sure you read the rules before posting. Thanks

Generally speaking, if you are not receiving a transactional email from itchio, like a email code verification, it is because your email provider is rejecting emails from us. Alternatively, if you have ever reported a transactional email from itchio in your mail account, then you are blocked from recieving emails permanently.

My email provider is proton.me, do you think they reject emails from you?

No mail provider outright blocks all of our emails as far as I’m aware.

The most common issue I’ve seen is that you previously marked one of our transaction emails as spam in your email client and it completely blocks us from sending you emails anymore.

I don't understand. Itch.io doesn't use e-mail for two-factor authentication.

Itch.io uses email two-factor authentication, proof: https://imgur.com/a/RA3JawT

How odd, it's not mentioned in the documentation. I'll ask an admin.

Afaik that is used for people not using 2fa. So they might be asked for email confirmation when changing hotspots or vpn.

It leads to the paradox situation that in some instances non 2fa accounts are more secure than 2fa accounts, because of cookie theft.

It's mentioned in the documentation here: https://itch.io/docs/advanced/two-factor-authentication

I solve this by emailing itch email support and they correct a typo in my email address.
