Parallax issue and really clunky gameplay

I really want these type of games to flourish but i dont think they will, when people  see how clunky the start is. Even with the art is decent, it wont be enough to carry. I advice just using some 2d platformer template. If Unity is difficult to use, I advice using Godot instead. It's really not difficult, at all. You also went overboard with the parallax. Feels like the houses on a train.

Thanks for the feedback, i hope you did enjoy the game despite parallax effect, right now the mechanics are crude since its the 0.1 version, i will release a hotfix for the paralax and smooth some mechanics in the following days. Migrating the project to godot and learning a new game engine from is out of the question. but i will try to smooth the controls.

Well if you have interest in collab i can contribute. I can make a more stable version in few days.

Can you detail exactly whats clunky about the controls pls?
