Hello !

I'm actually playing 0.8d and i'm day 6. Kel started coughing. I tried two bottles of syrup but the coughing continues... Any idea ?

stop smoking! or going near radioactive capsules without a hazard suit! you can fix this with cancer meds

ohhhh, i have been near the radioactive capsules like 3sec max.... and i have to pay 500dollars for cancer treatement ? Okay i'm just hoping i'm not going to die soon

UPDATE : I took the cancer medicine and i can confirm the coughing stopped. Can't believe i actually got cancer x)

So let me get this straight, Dr. Nose added CANCER MECHANICS to the game? Man, Charborg's gonna freak when he finds out he gave Kel stage 4 lung cancer, actually great decision

I started coughing too, but I had the radsuit on the entire time I dug it up and in the process of making Omega Kerf as well. I've never smoked in my game, so I have no idea why I'm coughing. I probably do have cancer, but I just don't know how because I was protected the entire time.

Maybe the suit isn't very well made or it wasn't supposed to effectively protect against radiation that can kill you in seconds

I mean maybe, I haven't seen anyone else start coughing with it on though, other than it maybe being a bug

There is at least ~~one~~ (edit: two) more radioactive point on the map. You may have been there and been exposed to radiation.

I wore rad suit every time I interacted with anything radioactive, and I just started coughing.

I have not swam in the Northeast most river, no.
I think I may have gotten irradiated by being at that gravel heap you speak of. I tried digging a gravel heap, found nothing, and moved on. Guess it was cancerous, lol.

Not the same person but yeah, just checked it out with the geiger counter and that thing spiked to almost rad capsule levels.
Now that I know that, there actually seems to be something special with every one of the gravel heaps.

No, I'm not talking about the cave. But now I see that there are three radioactive places: directly near the radioactive capsule, in the second river, and near the gravel heap next to the TR_1.

And no, you're safe inside the cave until you find [spoilers].

You can use the dosimeter to find radiation.

In this version, maybe not. But in future versions they may add slow health loss until death.
