Change Cover Image?

Hello again,

Would it be possible to change the cover image displayed in-game with this plugin? I am using the plugin to hide rooms within a dungeon, but instead of just displaying a black square, I've had the "roof" tile from the tileset set as the cover image, so the roof covers the interior until the player enters the room. However, if I go to a different map with a new tileset, I have no way to change the cover image to match the new tileset. I've attached an image to show what I mean, showing two different maps.

Is there a way I could change what image is used as the cover image in-game? Like a script call to change it from "Cover.png" to "Cover2.png"? It seems like there should be a simple solution, but I just can't figure it out. Thanks in advance!

Hi there!

No, there is no way to change the cover image. And it is really not a simple solution to get what you want.

But I know someone already did a plugin that work like that, and it was free. I just don't remember the name of tha person here on itch io. But it is the same creator of a nice RPG Maker debug tool. If you manage to find it, maybe you manage to find his plugin here on itch io.

Ah that's too bad, I'll look for that other plugin, thanks!

I found it! It is this creator:

I think the plugin is either Tilemap Mask or Transparent Tile. One of these two may be what you are looking for

Didn't realized you'd found that, thanks for letting me know I'll be sure to check it out!

Good luck :)
