Everyone, please be advised! The website:

http://www.make.bitsy.org/

...is Infected by a VIRUS (Hackers are using it!), as Shown by Google Chrome's alert!

(I used my NoScript to set the infected site to: Untrusted, just to be safe)

That, in turn, AFFECTS:

https://make.bitsy.org/

...as my NoScript automatically recognized it as the SAME, INFECTED Site (just with no Warning)!

NOTE: The Main Bitsy Editor Website:

https://ledoux.itch.io/bitsy

...is still just fine, so just be careful what you search for on the internet!

hi!

it seems like you ended up in the right place but just so future readers are aware, the preferred address is “https://make.bitsy.org/

the address you originally posted “http://www.make.bitsy.org/“ should also be ok, but your browser may warn you against visiting it because you left out the “s” in “https” (this means your connection to the site will not be as secure)

(if you see anything concerning again when visiting one of the bitsy sites, please post a screenshot here and I’ll be happy to take a look to see if there’s a problem)

Hi, Adam! Sorry, I had to come back on and Edit my original post just tonight. I'll UPDATE you on what I've recently put here.

So, the http Site (of make.bitsy.org) is NOT ok to visit, as it IS INFECTED with a VIRUS, and HACKERS Are using it, as PROVEN by the Google Chrome browser Warning, BUT ALSO: It AFFECTS the https version, which is why my NoScript keeps BOTH Sites UNTRUSTED as per my setting (BLOCKED).

My PROOF is that on Oct 18, I was in the Bitsy Editor via: https://make.bitsy.org -all night and into Oct 19 before I slept, and I had all kinds of VIRUSY Behavior from the https Site itself (couldn't type just normal stuff in the URL Bar while on it, and the latest thing: It later kept making a Pop-Up occur of: Google Translate - Hausa to English. After that, My Chromebook slowed to a crawl and then FROZE!)

So, in closing, I'd Advise that everyone use your very first Bitsy Editor site:

https://ledoux.itch.io/bitsy

...or they put themselves at RISK while using it. Thank you for acknowledging.

thanks for your reply

it definitely seems like you're encountering some odd behavior, but what you're describing doesn't sound like evidence of a virus to me

I'm happy to look into the issue further if you'd like, but I'll need you to post a screenshot of the warning message you see in Chrome, since I don't see any warnings when I load up the page in Chrome myself
