Is this site now officially a scam that refuses to pay developers?

I wouldnt trust anything downloaded from here, and certainly not the owners. Clearly out to take the payments themselves and srew us developers.. Every email I've sent has been ignored, the owners are basically criminals.

I understand you’re frustrated but please do not make unsubstantiated claims to try to draw attention to your case, it’s not helpful for anyone. We process hundreds of payouts daily, for this reason we have very strict rules about account eligibility for payouts to mitigate fraud and risk. It appears in this case your tax information has expired and is undergoing validation. This is a mandatory step, an account must have validated tax information in order to receive a payout, even if the account previously received a payout int he past. You will have to wait for this process to complete until your account is eligible for payouts again. Once your information is validated the payout will be placed back into a queue so that it can be human reviewed and processed for payment.

I like to think that our payout timeline is generally very fast compared to other platforms, which often have minimum 30 or 60 day timelines for payouts. We appreciate your patience in working within our requirements for payouts.

Thanks

This is open community. Maybe read the rules of these boards sometimes.

You accuse Itch of being criminal. By what metric?

This is what the faq says:

Once a payout is initiated, it is reviewed and paid at our earliest convenience. We human review all payouts after they are initiated, especially for first time sellers. Your patience is appreciated.

Do you see a time limit there? I do not. It is unfurtunately that you have to wait longer than usual, but there is no fixed time frame they violated. They even wrote something about patience. Which translates to me, if there is much to do for support, things take longer. All things.
